@Zenzi12: You could also try MKraft. I have seen the work he has done for one of his clients Honda Prelude.

do you guys think this hood would look good on a stock black SLK? I do not want to go in for the fender flares as that will require greater modifications to the wheels, bumpers etc

If you have to get custom work in Bombay, look no further than Rio Designs. Expensive, but well worth the premium pricing. Look up his contact details in our Tuner Directory.

I kinda disagree with you on this. I havent seen good work coming out of the RIO stable in a long time.

Also, would you really like to do that to an SLK?? really??..........why exactly??

Dude, the SLK is such a lovely car as it is. Why not settle for some mean, appearence-enhancing alloys instead.

Good news that you are keep the car the way it looks.
Bad news that we don't get to see a one-off custom SLK.

need advice on a body mod

Hi. I am thinking of changing the frontspoiler and side skirts on my SLK. I emailed the company and they said it would lower the car by 6cm/60mm. Do you guys think it makes sense lowering it?

It doesn't make sense, your gonna cringe every time you meet a pothole, speed-breaker, ramp? SLK is low as it is, 2.3 inches more?

Personally, I did not get a front spoiler for the same reason.

60mm in Mumbai?
Heck, would you even be able to take the car onto Worli Seaface to enjoy the sealink, given the huge speed breakers there? And if you stay in the suburbs it is actually worse in some areas.
AVOID!

Re: need advice on a body mod

Which company did you contact?

How about getting something made keeping in mind the Indian road conditions?
Basically a setup that isn't too low, at the same time provides a custom look.

Its possible but just that you would have to pay a higher price, as there won't be many takers for the kit.
