BMW Car Vinyl Wrap

Anyone know of a good outfit for wrapping exotics in the matte black vinyl? Heard of someone in Bangalore that does a good job but looking specifically in Bombay?

@ Rekhiv : If you're looking at quality work, go to Rio Designs in Bandra. I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.

Try Chirayu - Extreme graphics - 9769480999.

I have seen his work (BMW 6 in Matt black, if i remember) & got my car's roof done in glossy black. Good quality stuff & nice attention to detail.

He does all kind of graphic & car wrap stuff, some of them were pretty amazing.

He is a team BHPian too (XtremeG) & you can see some of his work here. You can see the Bimmer in the gallery.

hey just to let you know , theres one white cruz in panjim with carbon fiber sticker. Looks really awesome , would suggest you to go in for that instead on plain black.

Re: Cruze Roof - Paint it black, or apply film?

In bangalore it is done by a company called 'Motormind'. Seen some of their products at an expo here and they had done it on a couple of Cruze cars and even had some neat kits for these cars. More recently have seen a 5 series completely wrapped in matte black vinyl.

Workmanship looks very impressive.

Re: Cruze Roof - Paint it black, or apply film?

I was just wondering about one thing. How do they say that putting a sticker of any kind on the roof will not damage the paint. I mean, doesn't the glue have to adhere to the paint to stay in place and when you remove it, by necessity some paint will come off with the glue.

I look forward to someone correcting me if I am wrong.

I wanted to change the color of my white fiesta roof to black....Any pointers to shops in Chennai? Would prefer a shop who does with attention to details...btw, any indications how much they charge for it...

Re: Cruze Roof - Paint it black, or apply film?

Just a quick query to anyone who has put black roof wrap, does the heat inside the car increase since Black color is known to absorb IR rays from the sun more than other colors.

Re: Cruze Roof - Paint it black, or apply film?

You could find more details on the heating, and how to "blacken the roof" in this (PICS : Carbon fibre (vinyl sticker) bonnet for the Ford Figo and Wagon R) thread.

A fellow BHPian has "blackened" the roof of his Punto, by using a matte black vinyl. Linky (Sweet Taste Of Success).
From personal experiance, i can say, the vinyl doesnt affect the cooling or heating the insides of the car.

I got the roof of my Ritz wrapped in black vinyl last year during the summers and i dint feel any increase of heat inside the car.

Even if the car is parked under open sky, the heat inside the car seems to the be same compared to the times when the roof was not vinyled.
But not sure for a white car, if it will make any difference .

Cheers
