Hi saintsinner; Thanks for reply. How to check if bulbs are original or not. Would you recommend Car Ranauq at sector 16 for simple modifications like changing headlamps, horn, fog lamps etc.

I need H7's for my Palio (Philips or Narva). Anyone knows where to get those in Bangalore?

PS: I need white light. Not blue or normal yellow.

he has originals, be warned though - if you flash too much then they will go kaput. though mine are nearly an year old and i flash like crazy.

he is decent for the modifications you have mentioned. Talk to Salim or Mahesh, give him my reference - Paras. you might be able to bargain more.

Does anyone know a good installer/mechanic who can fit a pair of HELLA AFM headlights on a Indigo. This needs special skills and not the regular welding needed for a SUV type fitting. This needs a flush fit thru the front grill and as camaflouged and neat as possible.

Any one knows someone?
Contact Car Fancy (next to Sharma's on 80 Ft. Road in Koramangala) or Auto Fusion (In the lane opposite Koramangala Club)...

You can also contact the owner Thouqeer on 98450 04858. Both places are owned by him. I have seen some mods similar to ones mentioned by you done on Swift, Zen and Indica's at his place.

I indulged in a pair of Philips Xtreme Power +80% 60/55W H4 bulbs for my Swift. Initial impressions are that they are brighter, but +80% is a long call. It seems more like 40-50% brighter, maybe. Also, the beam is more concentrated, compared to the somewhat wider spread of the OEM Halonix H4 bulbs.

LOW Beam

The difference seems in even lesser in high beam.

Though I suspect, the reason for this is the change in the headlamp leveller position. This struck me only when I was looking at the pics at home. Maybe, these bulbs need a slightly different headlamp alignment.

Also the beam is definitely a lot more whiter, not what I wanted. On a highway with street lighting, these headlamps are non existent. I might switch to the stock ones for heavy downpour.

I'm going to be tempted to do a 100/90W once these burn out. Infact my uncle's OEM Indica headlamps are not all that much weaker than these. Must be down to the reflector design.

Thanks NiTviN.

I just checked with them. The H7's for palio will cost a bomb. 2200/- for 4 (Crystal vision - 80W - 6000k) bulbs. Normal yellow's (80W) are available for 960/- for 4 nos. I am really confused which one to go for!

Can any of the users give me a comparison between

1. OSRAM Night Breakers,
2. Philips Extreme Vision and
3. Philips Crystal Vision ?

I see different recommendations here and have not been able to make up which is suitable under what circumstances?

This is for Stock replacement of H4 bulbs in i10.

Thanks to all in advance.

I switched over to Swift from Wagon-R. & it’s about an year old now. ICE, Wheel/Alloys upgrade etc are over. About lighting, I upgraded to Night Breaker & fogs bulb to H7 55W Night Breaker (bought thru e-bay). I’ve gone thru the lighting thread (almost all pages) & now confused more.

I thought of going for Phillips Xtreme. But, I read many reviews/opinions that for best illumination of road switching to 100/90 would be the best option. I found that all these 50+, 80+, 90+ etc. are marketing tricks & nothing like 100/90. I decided to go for Rally 100/90, but I never seen how these are.

Any expert opinion on Phillips Xtreme compared to 100/90?
Among the group which 100/90 is the best? Are there bulbs available in 55/100W?

I know this must ‘ve been answered somewhere in the thread, but I rqst for suggestion & this might be a useful info for new members
