INQUIRY: Strobe lights / Colour changing Paring Lights

Hi,

I have 2 questions:

1. Are there colour changing parking lights available anywhere ?
2. Whats the usual cost of parking strobe lights ? And do they keep on blinking or you can just halt them anytime ?

Thanks.

You can easily get a Headlight Wiring kit for approx 300 Bucks and can buy Roots Ceramic holders for 140 for a pair.

they are used inside the car, and will make any white or fluorocent object inside your car glow.

A small query...Please do not laugh or ridicule if this is a stupid one.

Would it be possible to have 2 holders in a headlight unit, one with stock headlamp and another with a powerful headlamp? Would it be possible to switch betweem them as and when you require? Say, stock in the city and powerful one for the highway driving..

Guys I have located a lighting specialist

dear friends,
It was so much fun, I met this guy, He started talking about car lighting, This guy is a serious pro in Automotive lighting, He has changed the way the lighting on my car is behaving. Anyone looking for any kinds of information and products on lighting, do contact him. His name is Ashwin Bhartia, 9840022620, ashwinbhartia_4@yahoo.co.in. This guy is apparently one of the biggest importer of lighting equipment from Germany. (HELLA, OSRAM, PHILLIPS, XENONS, HID, you name it), anyone looking for any lighting stuff. Contact him

geekay, its simple.
Get 100/90W roots headlamps, get new wiring and relay.
Wiring+Relay = 500rs
Two halogen bulbs = 450rs.

Since you are having a real old 97 800, make sure you put a Voltmeter to your battery and check wether your alternator is in top notch condition, otherwise these lamps will put unnecassary load on your system.

so my hunt for better lighting started and i can say have fairly succeded also over the weekend.

iKON 2000 model and the lighting could have been termed 'bad' which i finally managed to realize with a bent rim on the way back from mysore to bangalore couple of months back, so the idea was running in my head and 2 weeks back went searching for a set of additional lights.

first searched the gujli market in bangalore and the best deal i could get was whole SXI transformation with clear lens head lamps, fogs bumper and grill for 8 k, but would have taken couple of days of head braking instal and painting to get it proper, then went on to search couple of accesory shops and saw some add on helas for 1800, problem again mounting them safe in the stock old fashioned bumper.

so finally this weekend decided to get 90/100 lighting atleast, started from koramangala where i saw Philips crystal vision, seeing the blue shaded bulb itself was a turn off for me and the way the guy said i can plug and play with the stock wiring made me run, checked out another guy who had Philips rally but he also was also giving gyan though finally agreed i would require new relay and wiring, thanks to parking issue went to JC road from double road and parked in the multi level car park.

across the road were some accesory shop and went and checked, and they had Philips 90/100, as well as ready made wiring kit from PMP, i was impressed. Fitting took some 10 mts, remove the old bulb, plug wiring harness from to the existing wiring, other 2 to new high wattage bulbs, plug the relay and the power wires onto the battery and you are ready to go

bulbs 300
relay and wiring 500

and went on to splurge some more on Stebel Nautilus

overall visbility has improved by 60%, low beam i cant increase reach as in incerase hieght, or in high beams and with more weight in rear the beam will hit the trees, but had adjusted it previously to max and now atleast in high beam i dont have blind spots near to the car thanks to better lighting compensating for throw and yes am more careful with high beam in city, low beam have perfect vision of road even with blinding lights from oppsite side.

so overall am happy for now

That is a very good thought. I too feel there should be some modification to the headlight unit or replace the whole unit to have a powerful headlight and the medium one so that we can escape from the cops.
