The relay is seeing lower current draw by the LED and thinks the circuit is open (burnt bulb) and causing this hyper flashing. To cure this you resistor which will draw the same load as that of an incandescent bulb and are usually called "load resistors" when its referred to in this context. This resistor should be wired in parallel to the indicator bulb wires. This is what i did in my Swift to fix it.

There is no separate flasher relay in the Swift, if there was then you could have just swapped the relay for an LED flasher relay and it would have fixed the problem.

Hey folks, I own a hyundai accent & my headlights stopped working and turns out it was due to the relay. My mechanic removed the relay and switched back to stock wiring.
I am now looking for a bulb which will work on stock wiring without the relay.
I am more keen on going for the white coloured lights. Please do suggest.

Changed the stock headlight bulbs of my Polo. The stock ones were pathetic. I have put Philips Extreme bulbs. I am happy with the performance. They illuminate the road way better than the stock bulbs. They are of the same wattage as the stock ones, so there shouldn't be any issue with the battery.

Got the Extreme 130+ yesterday and tried them on Thar. Brightness is definitely better but still in the white range, visibility even in lighted area has increased. Unfortunately couldn't find a decent dark place to do a good comparison shot.

Have been using Ring Automotive's XenonMax on my civic since 4 years. They are very nice and run on stock wattage.

Your post solves mine problem too.
I just installed HIDs in my renault Duster for low beams, but was not sure why its taking time to lit up fully (now i get that).
I am planning to put philips xtream for high beams.
Can you advise me on this.

I am looking for upgrade for my high beams as well. Can you please suggest some options and please share the pricing for your High beam and low Beam bulbs.

Quick update after the change, these bulbs are definitely a big improvement. Earlier with the round reflectors (read torch like beam), spread was kind of limited. This has increased to a good extent.

Second is the actual visibility, with the earlier 80+ i had tried on swift, if it was rained out road (tarmac) visibility was little iffy. With the new 130+ there is a definite improvement in that, especially on dark city roads.

Very impressed. I am now tempted to order another set for Striple also

ON the Tucson, I have shifted to 100/90 bulbs.
These are from DX, rated 4300k, but look to be about 5000k, definitely not as yellow as the stock. I ordered two pairs from Ali, for about 17usd after store coupon applied.
The relay was about 800 rupees.

Anyway, these are Really good. I used to quite blind in most unlit spots, and the LED fogs were no good in any other kind of light, the washout effect.
Low beam has excellent spread, and good visibility, high beam is more of the dome's function, and is really really far.
As for the blind-the-blinders mission, cabbies are quick to dip their full beams when faced with 54w broad throw LED's plus the 100w highbeam.

2. Osram Nightbreaker( i heard visibility during rain is bad. is it so?)

I'd say Xtreme Vision of you can find it in your city.

I have used both and found Xtreme Vision a better bulb in comparison.

This query is related to footwell lighting and i was wondering as to how I could tap into the wiring of the central cabin light. I need the footwell lights to sync with the cabin light for power and dimming effect as well.

I don't remember the exact pricing - the 4 bulbs together cost me 2500/-

i have tried it on my swift ! not much of a diffference it's just a little whiter not worth spending 1500 extra .
