Replacing a bulb can be done by any car accessories guy.Try the several ones located on Minister road. For all/any changes, i always go to Sprocket in Ameerpet.

Hi,

I have been going thru the thread and getting confused between the Phillips Rally, vision+, 90/100s, Osram silverstars etc etc, can the experts give a suggestion for SX4, which of these or any others like Nerva, Hella Gold etc will be suitable

Thanks in advance

Yesterday, I tried getting once again to replace the headlamp bulbs myself on the Fiesta.
I could remove the spring clip without much difficulty & take off the bulb holder but putting the spring clip back is such a pain. I hurt my fingers trying to compress the clip.
Have faced the same problem myself, try this solution (may sound as overkill) but have seen mechanics do the same:
Just remove the entire headlamp assembly, it is usually held in place by 3-4 bolts, then you have easy access to your bulbs. This is in fact an easier method than trying to insert your hand in unimaginable places and getting your skin peeled off.

Hi Luke,

This was the first things I tried doing about a week back. I could remove the top screws easily but there is one more holding the lamp assembly on the bottom end. I could see it using a mirror but even that seems totally inaccessible unless I can jack up the car a bit & get underneath.

Thanks anyways.

theexister,

How is the power of the bulb after fixing, is it worth ?

I am planning to upgrade the stock lights to philips x-treme for my SX4. Can you tell me in which website you ordered it.

All this I just practised on the H1 high beam. My intention is to replace the H7 bulb with the new Philip Extreme H7 that I recently purchased over the internet.
The H7 is not accessible easily & so I think its next to impossible for me to put back the clip in place for this one.

I have reconciled to taking this to a light guy.

Can anyone guide me to a place who does this in Hyderabad?

Hope things aren't as screwed up in Bombay as in Calcutta. Getting things out of customs here is a pain in the behind!

Anything ordered online should basically reach at your doorstep. If its at customs, it means it didnt pass through. Now they will demand some money to let go of it
