I bought one some time back and tried it in my Figo. I noticed that I have to put a heavy hand at work to get the dust sucked out. Moreover, as mentioned by many members here, the suction is just not sufficient enough.
I would any day prefer to trade this with a home application cleaner.

Re: Car Vacuum Cleaner

While cleaning, did you keep the engine on or just used it via battery?

I have bought the same item and using now.
Are you satisfied with the suction power mate ?
I felt suction power could have been better. It is working fine as of now for me.

Well, I would say it was not as per my expectations. Might be because before this I had been using the wired vacuum cleaners which have a greater suction power, and thus I might have set a high expectation level.

Below are my observations, please share once you use yours :-

> One has to repeatedly rub the floor so that the particles gets pulled into.
> The odd shaped nozzle does not reach the corners and the tight spaced gaps. A more slender nozzle would have done the trick.
> Dirt, after getting pulled, does not remain confined within the chamber, but gets accumulated near the suction mount.
> A bit noisy for a device of this size.

The above observations are not deal breakers but I was expecting more suction power from a 130 w motor. Probably the 100 w tornado would have been better (or is it?)

Re: Car Vacuum Cleaner

Somehow, I am not comfortable buying brands that I have no experience with.

Guys - sometimes there is a lightning deal on Black and Decker car vacs. While none of these car vacs have really good suction, I think reliability on a B&D will be much better than other unknown brands.
That being said- the home vacuum is the best but it is a pain lugging it down to the basement and finding a socket to plug it in.

I bought B&D ACV1205 vacuum last year, for my car and am quite happy with it's performance. I bought it for 1499/- in a lightning deal.

Review - Black & Decker ADV1220 Dustbuster Car Vacuum Cleaner.

For OCD car freaks like us a good car vacuum cleaner is a must.
So after a lot of pondering, I finally bought the Black & Decker ADV1220 Dustbuster Car Vacuum cleaner from Amazon.in for Rs. 2449/-
Link - https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B007I1R7RS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pros -
1) Powerful
2) Different attachments
3) Long Cable
4) Compact size
5) Nylon carrying bag
6) Build quality feels top class
7) Looks good in the black & orange color combo.

Cons -
1) Runtime 30 minutes

The manual says the vacuum cleaner can used at a stretch for a maximum 30 minutes. I have not verified these claims, as I prefer using it in proper intervals, which does not strain the car battery nor the vacuum cleaner in the long run.

A car vacuum cleaner is mostly required for people who don't really like the idea of Laminating their floors. It's really difficult to clean those small stones and dust particles stuck on the carpet. If your floors are laminated, a wipe with a damp cloth is all you need to get rid of the dust and small stones.
But for people like me who are against the idea of laminating the floor will find it really difficult to keep the interior dirt free.

The vacuum cleaner comes with the following attachments.
1) Flexible Hose
2) Crevice Tool
3) Brush Tool

The length of the cable is 5 Metre. Which is more than enough to reach the trunk of the car with the cable plugged into the socket near the driver's seat.
With the said most new cars come with power outlets in the second row so that won't be a problem to reach the trunk anyways.

With the above attachments it's really easy to get to those odd corners of the car which otherwise would have been like a yoga session to me.
So every Sunday I diligently spend 30 minutes cleaning the interior of the car which makes it as good as new. A must for me.

The Crevice tool really makes it easy to clean under the seats.
The Brush tool helps in loosening the debris stuck on the carpet and of course cleaning the AC vents.
The compact size and with the carrying case makes sure it doesn't eat up the boot space at all and easily sits in one corner of the boot.

Conclusion - I will wholeheartedly recommend this vacuum cleaner to others, who are looking for something powerful yet compact car vacuum cleaner.
