My TURBO-Charged Swift Petrol! And a dyno graph too

Man this was just what was missing, and now I know what it means to have a turbo on your drive. It is just awesome. Poor swifty is not is a position to take the pressure. I had the brakes already upgraded. The clutch too is proving a problem on the stage1 will need to move to stage2. Suspensions yes that too will have to change the OE just doesent support the power. Already set my eyes on the Tein coil over.
Got a few images for reference and of course the most important the Dyno test report. Values are in terms of wheel Hp and wheel torque.
This Dyno report when done on a stock engine was just not worth looking at and dont go by what Maruti claims on their Bhp. They never tell you it is on the head or on the tail. Just get one check done at RRR and you will know the facts on what you get on the wheels....
I will have to get a few more pictures done of the intercooler and the front view. Shall get them when I get the horn replacement.

Re: My Modded Swift : "Sports Mind"

Congrats Sportsmind , I was waiting for the pics.

Could you explain what is the controller in the second last pic(in front of indicator stalk) for?

Most probably a turbo timer. To keep the engine idling for some time even after the ignition is shut and the keys taken out. So that there is no damage to the turbo.

As Akshay has indicated it is a turbo timer and the purpose is to protect the turbo. Currently it is set to 30 seconds.

Re: My Modded Swift : "Sports Mind"

Most amazing mods ever!!! Really appreciate you posting pics and links etc.!!

Now I'd just love to hear the blow off valve pshhhh...

btw are you using any caliper covers? These look nice - http://www.focalprice.com/ERD75B/Hig...ver_Black.html

Will complement your upgraded brakes!

Btw I was looking for similar caliper covers with just 'Hyundai' written on them! couldnt find em!

With brembo ones, I might look like a ricer! :P

I would have done that long back, it there was a provision to change it. It is not possible to do this change easily in a swift. Atleast that was what I was told when I checked. I even have had plans to get a complete EL sheet to replace this boaring one. If you are aware of anyone who has done this do keep me posted. Cheers..

Thanks mate. I did some long drives on the airport road over the weekend. It is killer. It is running a 7.6 PSI during the Dyno check. I need to get a boost gauge soon. Cheers...

Trust me the best part of all this is the Pshhh... from the BOV. Feel so good to hear that when you kick it that hard.
I did plan to work on this caliper covers long back. Getting one for a 15" was a problem as most of them said above 15". I was also worried about the saftey aspect, just in case it has to come off and get entangled in between and create a mess .

I managed an image of the intercooler placement during the recent PIAA horn upgrade.

I would have done it if I did not have a hood scoop. The hood cold air intake scoop on my bonnet takes care of the cold air intake to a large extend. Would reconsider the position if it does not work over a period of time. Cheers...
