merc accessories

V-16: doing a google search brings up a lot of used Mercedes-Benz spare-part dealers in UK & USA but it might be a little difficult regarding the shipping process to India.
some of them do ship to India at reasonable costs but you'll have to go through each to check out.

try this forum MBWorld. you might find some help there.

also if you plan on restoring or working on the car yourself, you might find this useful Mercedes-Benz USA Technical Training.

Another place to try is the Santacruz Bandh area.
There are are some 30 odd garages there who service imported cars, etc
They just might have one from a non woking junk model.
Its a pain slightly to find there, but if you can spare half a day , U would definately find one there.

Re: Merc 190E Stuff

We have a dark blue 190E, 1.8l petrol with a 5 MT. location -Agra. Lovely condition but have to find a new home for it as it needs an enthusiastic owner now. Would anyone like to inquire and deal with the vehicle?
I've also posted a TBHP classifieds listing just today

I just looked at. Why on earth did you not register it? It will be too complicated to get this done after a lapse of 20+ years

Yes we are in a deep ditch by not registering it. My father had moved us, a very young family, to India and in the haphazardness of settling down in a new country, the car was neglected for too long. Now the time has come to take action, sell, scrap or spare part donor vehicle

Re: Merc 190E Stuff

My friend is selling his well maintained 1984 190E Automatic in Hyderabad, its a left hand drive and runs well. I have been looking for a decent pre 2000 Merc. Asking price is 5.5 lacs. I have no clue about the prices.

Is this a good deal, can any 190E experts chip in with opinions?

PS: I couldn't find a better thread for this post, please move if necessary.
