VW Polo and Vento - Accessories

Here is the price list of accessories of Polo and Vento obtained from the dealer here.

VW owners, appreciate your pick on desired accesories that is worth getting ( or that you got) from the dealer and those with rip off prices.

If spares list of the same are available it could be added to this thread.

Guess it would be helpful for prospective owners on deciding the same.

Cheers!

re: VW Polo and Vento - Accessories

Rip offs -

Key chain - 420 rupees.
Door sills - They felt really cheap. Should look out for alternatives in outside markets since its a simple stick on. Also VW charged around 277 as labour charge to one of my friend to fix this sticker( RIP OFF Confirmed)

Acceptable
Car cover - 1200

Are you that real lover of the car "Polo" ?

re: VW Polo and Vento - Accessories

I got:
  • "Revers" sensors @4800 (damn yours are cheaper by 850)- absolute waste of money. Only got them cuz wifey insisted for herself when she drives, hasn't touched it yet!
  • Mudflaps @1440/- these should be mandatory accessories. "VW doesn't give anything for free"- actual quote.
  • Side door protector with VENTO lettering @1460/- : get these, they're cool.
  • Solar control film exclusive @6405/- OK I'm getting annoyed now, VW pune charged me 6900/- for this. Essential to have and neat job done, but you probably have better aftermarket options (I was too lazy to check) for cheaper.
  • Rubber mat beige @1815. Absolutely required in the Highline or you'll ruin your beige floor mats (who puts beige floormats? Gah!) in days.
  • Also got teflon coating @4800- which isn't showing in yor pricelist.
Total damages: 22K (rounded off very generously from 22,375 )

re: VW Polo and Vento - Accessories

Here are the OTR prices (of the specified models) in Bangalore as of last week. All prices are with Corporate discounts.

1. Polo 1.6 76,5670
2. Vento Trendline TDI 97,1859
3. Vento Highline TDI 110,2673

Bangalore prices seems high with the prevailing high road tax!

Cheers,

Yes. That would be the Nippon DIN2 unit with four speakers. Doesn't look the price but sells well, strangely enough.

Is the integrated 2DIN HU (either this or the Kenwood 2-DIN in the list) with a touchscreen? Also, do they give an option for the 2DIN HU with GPS support (similar to the one shown for the "IPL editions")?

The sales guy was telling me that this is not offered on the highlines even as an option. I suspect - this is the RNS 510 used on Jetta and Passat with list price upwards of 60K. I still don't get how they managed to put this on the IPL edition trendlines.

Has anyone been able to get this on their highlines from the showrooms?

re: VW Polo and Vento - Accessories

I had a question and thought this thread is an appropriate place to ask.

Has anyone tried changing the IRVM to a bigger one in Vento? Is this change available with Windshield experts? Any pointers?

re: VW Polo and Vento - Accessories

^^ Won't solve the problem. The view is bad because of the way the car is designed.

No, the 2DIN HU mentioned earlier is a Nippon unit, no touchscreen, no GPS support. I'm not sure if the stereo for the IPL edition is the same RNS 510, looks similar from the photographs off the net.

We haven't got official info from VW yet, so I guess I'll know soon enough. The RNS 510 will go into the slot provided, but the connectors are different. I suppose VW will have some solution to that if the same stereo is being used.
