A typical traffic scene in Pune :

I was in a Linea T-Jet, MH14DX registered. We were driving, and rather, we were simply coasting along, for we were trapped in the traffic. On the verge of taking the turn into JM road. In the signal next to the HSC Board offices.

Oh man, shut the ACC. Open the windows for goodness sake, I exclaim. Pronto, the ACC is shut, and I open the window, allowing the chaotic traffic noises of Pune inside. Rickshaws honking, and the T-Jet's turbo spooling (), and of course, the typical drone of a Tata Marcopolo.

What follows is a pure, glorious exhaust note. Glorious.
Where is the SBK, I immediately think. Nope, nowhere to be seen. The note is still evident. 'Tis definitely not coming from the Linea, it occurs to me.

I look around. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. There's an old Hyundai in the distance. And the typical Swifts, ricks, and Activa's.

Nice, Why meth injection over an intercooler? Did you look at the KILLER CHILLER?
Your boost control is manual right? Boost spike? Or is boost spike a turbo only feature?

My turbo parts have landed, next month the work will begin, I was looking at meth injection but the thought of storing methanol at home and filling it up regularly seemed like a hassle got a water/air intercooler hence.

Actually, I have fitted an intercooler now. That, combined with a water-methanol injection kit & I have some below ambient intake temps. Centrifugal superchargers do not have boost spikes as they are connected to the engine rpm at all times. The 'hassle' of meth injection is worth it, as you will never have engine destroying detonation at higher rpm. It may not seem a big deal now (in winter), but in summer you will be at risk.

Also, the water in the water/methanol mix removes carbon deposits. You should see my pistons now, they have almost NO carbon deposits. So I get decarb as a by product!

Nice setup. I have blown my budget with the current purchases. Will look at methanol injection if I am knocking/ pre detonating.
I do have an option of piping an ice box in the water lines for sub ambient IATs but that obviously lasts till the water heats up to ambient again.
Right now I am running on fumes Dont have the cash for an electronic boost controller either.

Forget the ice box....waste of time & space in engine bay. You don't need an electronic boost controller, it's just icing on the cake really. Just make sure you get a decent priced turbo from a reliable source. DO NOT go for e-bay (Chinese) turbos. Just google e-bay turbo & see the videos of engine disasters.
