@ Garrett : It'll be great if you spend some time searching through the forum. Basic modification queries have been answered several times over various threads.

At the begining of this thread its writen, 'Enroll with a professional rally / racing / driving school. This will not only make you a faster driver but also a safer one. To quote a popular Pirelli tagline : Power is nothing without control.'

Could someone please let me know if there are any in India, and their details if possible.

AutoSpeed - Siting Cold Air Intakes
Although not a bad start the article has got one big flaw.

Of course this way you will find out what the pressure is on the mouth of the proposed intake modification, but this is where the problem only starts. It would be wrong to conclude that this automatically means that is would result in a higher manifold pressure. In same cases it might and in others it won't.

The reason for it is the engine itself and the routing of the actual intake. Also a buzzing sounder indicating a high pressure does not give any indication of a pressure pattern. This changes with speed and even can have advers effects.

I am not in the dissing game, but know as a professional how easily one can be misled by looking at things not from all angles needed. It happens even to us professionals and a true professional would not withold any information or help in this respect.

Sounds interesting and is a very good idea. I can only encourage people to do such kind of driver training. I know from experience thast most of the people aren't aware what potential is in their cars and also, which might be even more impoortant to know where the limitations are, which comes in very handy in emergency situations.
