Team-BHP - IndiMotard: First Indian Team to compete in AND finish the 2017 Baja 1000

I am surprised that this proud moment has not been shared yet. If it has, then I am sorry that I could not find it.

I first thought of mentioning this here in this thread about IndiMotard:

But then I realized that this achievement deserves a thread of its own. Here is an article about this:

Team IndiMotard Finishes 2017 Baja 1000

To compete and finish in a prestigious global event like Baja 1000 is something we all should be proud of.

I would not have been aware of this had I not had the pleasure of meeting one of the founders of IndiMotard few days back, who told me about this feat, and participated in the event. He mentioned that at the end of the race, the organizers had hoisted a huge Indian flag to welcome them. Just hearing him talk about it gave me goosebumps.

Apart from that, the passion and dedication of this person blew me away. They are still very much operational and spreading awareness about bike riding and touring on bikes. This, to me, embodies what bike riding should be about. Not iron butts.

After CS Santosh (Finished Dakar 2018 at 34th Position), we have one more Indian team/name to keep an eye on. Congratulations to Team INDIMOTARD.

By the way, I was checking Desert Storm 2018 competitor list and couldn't find Team IndiMotard in any category. Are they participating in Desert Storm 2018?

I am not sure about that. The person I spoke with was definitely aware of the event. Maybe they have other commitments.
