Default India representation for the first time in the World Finals of Motorcycle Drag Racing, USA

India representation for the first time in the WORLD FINALS of Motorcycle Drag Racing held in USA. Qualifying is over and Team India has performed extremely well. To adapt to a new Surface, Bike power, formats etc quickly and then to perform in their very first experience is truly awesome. Tonight is the Final Race & the live stream link is here : http://motormaniatv.com/mancup-smgp-world-finals/

#WorldFinals - India’s first ever representation at the World Finals of Motorcycle Drag Racing. Sonu Sundeep Singh Sokhi & Amit Sharma have made our country proud 🇮🇳. We salute the “Fastest Indians” for their commitment & dedication to the “World Fastest Sport”.

All odds were against the 2. They had never raced on a Drag Prepped Surface, had not been used to the Power of the machines & got only 2 days of training under Rickey Gadson Drag School. That’s a tough ask for anyone to perform with such seasoned racers. But they did it in style and beat the best in the World & earned their RESPECT on a #GlobalPlatform Man Cup.

There were over 800+ Participants from across the Globe. Racers who have 20+ years of experience.

- Sundeep Singh Sokhi (Sonu) qualifies #3 out of 31 entries in “Street fighter Class“. Sonu earned his way to the final 8 bikes in a sea of seasoned racers.
- Amit Sharma becomes the “Fastest Indian Rider” in India’s drag racing history when he produced a 8.87sec time-slip. He earned his way to the Top 16 in a seasoned racers class of 64 entries.

#EliteOctane would like to Congratulate the Fastest Indian who made our country proud & Rickey Gadson 62 for all the support extended to make this dream a reality. We certainly have a bright future ahead for Indian Racers.

How did these guys do it with almost zero experience? And that too while competing against seasoned racers! Proud of these boys!! More power to them

Absolutely. We had told them that it’s a first experience so to just enjoy the journey. But with just 2 days of training Under Rickey Gadson, they adapted brilliantly. Just goes to show the caliber of both 👌👍 the seasoned racers were also amazed and then eventually got really concerned to race against them 😊.
