Not a completely motorsport movie as most of the story covers the dog's role in this racer's life. But still one of my favourites as both of my favourites, Cars and Dogs are in this.
Oh man, thanks for your post, this movie just made me really really tear up. If you are a dog person, this movie should be on top of your watch list.

Radford Returns.

Its more of a documentary about the legendary Lotus' Type 62.

Follows a team of car enthusiasts who have the rebirth of the iconic British car company in their hands, and must recreate their own version of Lotus' Type 62, a high-performing sports vehicle.

Master builder Ant Anstead, F1 champion Jenson Button and sportscar designer Mark Stubbs unite to revive the British coach-building company Radford. They are tasked with designing, building and test driving the last gas-powered supercar for Lotus.

Redline 2009 is an amazing Anime film about Motor racing in the cliched dystopian future.

More a motorsport documentary than a movie, Truth in 24 and Truth in 24 II chronicles Audi Sport Racing Team's journey to 2/13 Le Mans glory. Brilliantly narrated by none other than Jason Statham himself, it is a must must watch.
Bonus: First part showcases the legend, Mr Le Mans - Tom Kristensen's heroics.

+1
One of my favorites when it comes to documentaries on any racing series. The way Tom 'Mr. Le Mans' Kristensen led Audi to an unlikely victory at Le Mans in 2008 against stiff opposition from Peugeot and its ex-F1 driver line up is the stuff of legends in endurance racing. And so well narrated by the amazing Jason Statham! I have watched it quite a few times over the past 10 years

Even 'Rush' and 'Ford Vs Ferrari' were pretty good movies, amazing cast.

But no one comes close to narrating about a racing event/series than the amazing John Ficarra, check out his videos on VinWiki channel on youtube.

Re: Your favourite movies on motorsports

Another upcoming movie on motor racing. Inspired by true events that occurred during the fierce rivalry between Germany (Audi) and Italy (Lancia) at the 1983 Rally World Championships.

Re: Your favourite movies on motorsports

All of the usual movies mentioned above and one movie in particular. Silver dream racer, released in theatres in 1986 just after I had completed my 12 th standard and before I entered dental school.
It was about a private bike racer racing a silver coloured prototype and how he won a Grand Prix against all odds. I watched it six days in a row before they took it off.
Cheers
