RIP. I was introduced to her through Top Gear. Such an amazing personality and a top class driver.
Really sad news. I came here after reading Jeremy Clarksons tweet.
Such an absolutely amazing personality & an inspiration to people.
RIP Sabine Schmitz.
Very sad. So many fragments of her crazy videos flashing thru. She overtaking supercars in a van. Her self narrated story of childhood in and around Nurburgring. RIP Sabine.
RIP - Legend in her own right she was. Great driver and a breaker of glass ceilings in an otherwise male dominated industry
Quite the shocker! Like many others, I first saw the news via Jeremy’s post on Instagram! I must say what a driver she is! I will never forget the way she chased down sportscars in a Ford transit on the Nurburgring! Without a single word, she answered all those men who said ‘women can’t drive’.
She may be gone but her legacy at the Nurburgring will surely outlive her for years to come. RIP Sabine!
Shocked when I got hear of this news last evening. Sabine was indeed the Queen of the Ring, and quite a jovial person seeing all her interviews and videos, quite notably on Top Gear.

I remember her so well for someone I saw so little of... like most from her one appearance on Top Gear, she had such great energy and positive vibes about her.
may she Rest in peace.
Already in awe of her driving skills, respect for her just doubled for maintaining a positive outlook in life, notwithstanding the diagnosis.

Sad at her demise but awed by the life she lived. The next world ain't ready for her. She's probably ripping up and down the Holy Highway at insane speeds.

Became a big fan of her post the Jaguar episode with Jeremy in Nurburgring. She handled that Transit like no one else. Remember seeing her even after that in a few other episodes of TopGear as well. This is a very sad day.
RIP! She was faster in a Ford Transit Van than many in their race cars around the Nurburgring!
