If you have requested delivery in Mumbai should get it by today or tomorrow as a fiend got his tickets delivered sometime back. Since, I am leaving on the weekend I have changed my delivery address to Noida as I had enquired when the tickets will be delivered and was told 3-4 days prior to the event.

Oh, is it? I have not received any update (email/sms) regarding the tickets. I am leaving on Thursday so hopefully enough time.

Yes, You should get email and sms both which are registered with bookmyshow.

They were sending every update once dispatched on mail and sms.

On the back of ticket, there are some info with some restriction where bag, umbrellas, camera etc. are not allowed.

How else will they sell their overpriced essentials to us ? Jokes apart, i guess anything that can act as a projectile is not allowed. But things that can be used as projectiles (water bottles for example) can be purchased inside. So back to square one.

I had booked new KTM Duke 390 by paying a token amount of Rs. 4,499 on the day they launched it in India. I was pleasantly surprised to get a free pass for the MotoGP event! I had booked tickets to Delhi for the last day of the race, as I couldn't make it for all 3 days due to some personal commitments.

PS: I got return ticket from Bangalore at an unbelievable price of 10.5k 😄

An update on MotoGP physical tickets. I received mine today (Bengaluru) and it shows as being shipped from Mumbai (origin) just yesterday. So, the shipping does seem to be quite fast.

Just as expressed above, the passes for the 3 days have been issued and mailed. Since I had also booked Shuttle services for Saturday and Sunday, the passes for the same also came in the delivered package.

Quite excited for next week!!

I'm planning to drive to the event from Central Delhi. Does anyone want to carpool? I don't have the parking ticket pass (I assume it can be purchased on site?). I bought the KTM Orange Pass ticket so I can't book any addons from Bookmyshow.

Received my tracking details yesterday evening and it should arrive at my friend's place in Noida by today.

On the parking there were limited slots and if one hasn't purchased it then the chances of getting a slot at the venue looks slim. Also, I received another link for booking the shuttle service but not sure whether to book that or not. Planning to be at the event all three days and the biggest issue will be conserving battery charge as without a backpack there is hardly anything one can carry to the venue except a phone and a wallet. My iphone 13 Pro died on me suddenly and got a one plus as a backup and now it looks like luck had different plans for me as the iPhone wouldn't have lasted a day with lot of camera action on a single charge.

I also have the same problem. My phone won't charge for the entire day unless in super battery saver mode. I bought a battery back up from Amazon to keep in my backpack for the event.

Are we not allowed to carry backpacks into the venue? It would be very difficult to carry the battery backup in just pockets. Plus, if we buy goodies or merch or water bottles, where are we supposed to keep those?

We (me and my brother) intend to carry our dSLR in a camera bag, just like we did last time during the Formula 1 race in 2013. Are we allowed to carry dSLR in its bag? Or we need to carry the camera sans its bag?

We have not made any effort till now to see what all is allowed and not. As per our previous experience during F1, even Foreigners were feeling the loot when the prices of bisleri water bottles were checked by us at a stall. Not planning to carry anything inside though except a camera bag (they dont allow anything edible inside anyway). The payment mechanism was weird to ensure that not 100% amount can be spent and some is left with the vendor. e.g. coupons to buy stuff can be purchased only in a particular denomination (500 and its multiples and no amount will be reimbursed). I have paid for overpriced stuff every now and then but a looting mechanism must not be greased.
