My Luna TFR Single Plus

I am new to Team BHP and am quite excited to be a part of this great community.
To start my journey here, I would like to post my experience of restoring a moped. I found her in a totally abandoned state near my office. To be Precise the moped was thrown in the corner next to a dog kennel as the owner had acquired this craze of raising high breed pups and selling them. The pictures would reveal dog bites all around the remains of the so called seat.
I have decided to talk to the owner about selling the same to me and he happily agreed (I think some scrap dealer had already approached him. He was all the more willing for a better price). After transporting the same home I have realised I have virtually picked a frame. The previous owner helped in identifying a mechanic known to him and he came home and all he asked is “why did you pick up this scrap?” He left saying that he would come back and there were no further traces of him .
Finally I have decided to find a mechanic myself and I found a good one by sheer chance and luck. I have realised almost everything to be done from scratch in this vehicle. The Engine was done alrite by him and a lot of parts had to be sourced. The biggest challenge I have encountered was in sourcing a seat. From the pictures you could have seen what kind of a seat was available and I wanted to keep the Original TFR single plus seat.(My previous owner had converted this vehicle to a double seat which you could see from the remains). Finally after searching for almost 3 months I could get hold of a seat and he asked me almost the price of the moped which I have paid to the previous owner.
But end of the day I am happy when I look at my moped. I have kept her inside my house for the time being while occasionally taking her out for short trips. Please have a look at the initial pictures. I would post the restored the Pictures too soon.

@ Pavan G..Thanks for your comments and hope there would be a lot more of 'Luna'tics in the city.

You have got an amazing double Plus. I have gone through your thread about your Luna Restoration and its indeed a touching one. It would make any grand dad proud. Great one.

Re: My Luna TFR Single Plus

The pic in the first post looks like a Double Plus, are you sure its a single plus? Single (plus ?) had a single seat.

Re: My Luna TFR Single Plus

hello Technocrat. am sure it is a single plus. As per the RC book it says single plus and the previous owner has changed it to a double plus just by changing the seat may be to accomodate one more person. Infact I had asked him for the original seat intially and he said he has sold it off to some one as scrap.
