devarshi84@ enfield is a bike which you ride once and either fall in love with it or simply hate it. I had an RX before its a blast if i compare it to the enfield but then I started rather than hating disliking the RX and the Enfield would always be the one for relaxed, enjoyable riding.

Its an awesome bike if you have learnt to know all its idiosyncrasy as each bike even of a particular model has all peculiar characteristics. You wont know this until youve been riding one for a year+. Its not a tech bike in anyway and not built for high speed cruising not that its not capable but then the wear and tear is faster.

the avenger which has a tested machine is the one TRINADHA should be looking at as logical becuase a year later his dads gonna be riding it.
parking the girth of thunderbird is big pain in the back.
cheers

So, you're making a smart buy Trinadha... for 350cc it should make 130 with ease...

bro dont check topspeed of 350 with 180 check the effortless cruising after u have lugged both bikes with 40kgs of backpacks and a pillion 80kilo+ and then cruise all day 80 to 100kmph.

anyway in this topic "Trin" has made a logical decision considering his dad using the bike later. and if trin himself was gonna ride and looking for a choice between thunderbird and avenger i still would put both down and ask him to go for a 500 standard and modify it to a cruiser. thats the ultimate power and torque machine for indian production cruise style bikes.

the engine clatter(rockers) of the TB and the Diesel Auto are the same. Leaves a wide choice now!!

See my garage. My best 171kms in 2hr 15min. worst mileage 35kmpl. best 48-50kmpl. avg 42kmpl.

I used to ride a A350 before. Next buy would be a RE 350 5S.
