I am planning have the following done once the Bull is delivered:

1. Replace the stock silencer with the upswept silencer.
2. Replace the stock tyres with the aftermarket ones for better grip and meaner looks.
3. Fit it with the aftermarket Head Lights since its mostly after 10:00 PM when I commute back from work.
4. Replace the stock number plates with Embossed high-security ones although I am not sure if they come for biles.
5. Scout for good quality and finish leather panniers (so they can be removed when I am not grocery shopping)

Namaska Dani! Guess i am gonna mostly follow your advice The only exception would be for the tyres...if i change it rightway, i might be able to salvage something for the stock tyres...once they are ridden and you wanna upgrade, i guess they are junk.

That's a reasonably valid expenditure and can only improve safety.

Other than that, once you have ridden the bike for a while, you will most likely leave things the way they are.

The most important thing, is to go to a good mechanic. Time and time I have heard that one of the best mechs anywhere in the world for an Enfield is Gurunandan in Bangalore.:

Re: King of the Roads (Royal Enfield Classic Chrome)

This was long pending and now I have the photo for my helmet.

It is a Vega Boolean Chrome with dual visor. I have taken out a few Vega stickers and put in RE stickers.

I am still in the lookout for a Maroon pinstripe to match my bike but yet to find out how can that be done.

Re: King of the Roads (Royal Enfield Classic Chrome)

Firstly, congratulations on being one of the earliest Classic Chrome owners on and off the forum. I assume you bought as soon as it was introduced in the market.

It also gives me even more pleasure as now i got a company who has got an exactly same bike as mine in hyderabad.

Would be an awesome sight for us three ( you, me and harish) to ride our Classic Chromes next to each other. Lets do that soon !!

Do keep updating this thread with your experiences and ride details as you munch more miles.

Ride Safe !!!

Helmet looks smashing and will certainly suit the Classic Chrome. Just wanted to know with so much chrome, it does not hamper the visibility of other road users due to enormous reflection from this helmet?

For anything related to stickering. Ramkote ( Near Abids/Gunfoundry) is the solution. There are many shops who do only stickering related jobs for automobiles. They should be easily able to get a desired maroon strip for your helmet.

Re: King of the Roads (Royal Enfield Classic Chrome)

Thanks mobike008 for your kind words. Do check out the pictures with my daughter on my bike in this thread as discussed.

Also I will need your help in the Ramkote part as I have seldom been there. Let me know if you are free sometime Saturday and we will catch up on the same.

Re: King of the Roads (Royal Enfield Classic Chrome)

6 months done, 3100 kms, it was time for the 3rd free service. Reached sharp at 9:00 am at the brand showroom workshop. Mine was second in queue. I was told earlier by the folks there that they need to tighten the spokes of both the wheels during the 3rd servicing which was done externally and costed 120 extra. Apart from that normal oil and filter chage, checking of all the nuts and tightening of all bolts and cables.

Finally built up the courage to take the pillion seat and the saree guard out and got a left side stay to be fitted in its place. Now it is really looking like a classic and a head turner for sure. I will post some pictures soon on this thread for all the readers.

Re: King of the Roads (Royal Enfield Classic Chrome)

Wow how majestic your bike looks standing there.
I am so bitten by the massive look of the bull.
Its a must have for any biker.
Post more and more pictures.
Any modifications you have planned for?
Is the seat and handle bar at almost the same level giving you enough confidence on higher speeds and braking?

Thanks for your kind words.

I am not a big fan of modifications as I prefer stock product which enjoys less problems given the factory fit and finish

The seat and handlebar are not at the same level. The combination also depends of the riders stature. For me, the original setting is the best, I have enough control and faith to go all the way upto 120 kmph when the road is empty.

Re: King of the Roads (Royal Enfield Classic Chrome)

When I took test ride of the classic after extensively riding an old thunder bird, I found it to be too straight seated for comfort
I felt like sitting on a horse, more like on the bike than in the bike which i prefer.
I prefer much controllable riding style with the seat more lower than the handle bar.
I love the look of the classic.
But on my yet to arrive 350 the seats are going to be out.
It will be a single seat but more like the scooped type.

I am short of words to describe the feeling when I first rode the bike and really wanted the road to stretch longer than it is to my way back home. It is not the speed or the flick of the bike but the ease of sitting and going straight with a steady thumping music playing from the exhaust.

In a week which sucked me out at work, I could only manage 100 kms till Friday and now looking to the weekend to make up for it.

Some initial pictures will do the talking and time for me to be out riding.
Hmmmm.,....I am impressed, booked a 350 Classic black yesterday, 10 months to wait,,...😭

Re: King of the Roads (Royal Enfield Classic Chrome)

Uploading some pics of DIY modifications done at the request of my wife. She always complained that there is no backrest which is really uncomfortable. So got these jus for Rs. 800 (500 for backrest and 300 for the leather pouch).

Also changed the pilot lamps, speedometer lamp, neutral indicator lamp, high beam indicator lamp, headlight dome lamp (the small one apart from the big halogen bulb), tail lamp to LED. I am waiting for the non-polar LED bulb which can be connected to the right/left indicator in the speedometer console. I will upload the pics shortly.

Also changed the Headlight Halogen bulb to Philips Blue.
