It will be brought in as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Kit & assembled at Gurgaon. Specs of the bike are almost same as the contemporaries @ 248cc, fuel-injected, parallel twin engine with an output of 26bhp & 24.4Nm torque & a six-speed gearbox.

I hope they price the bike sensibly.
CKD means it will import hefty tax from the Govt like the Ninja brothers! I dont really think will be a good selling point for this bike. It does'nt look too impressive on paper!

CKD is the best option as it carries lesser duty than SKD or CBU. But yes pricing will be the key, especially with love it or hate it looks.

It is an awesome bike, some how I feel it will attract riders who wants to move from a 150cc to a bullet and still cannot ride like one.

Given its weight will be an awesome tourer and can do 120kmph all day without a sweat.

It carriers the suzuki's comforts. Trust me I'm a secret lover of their 150r. Very reliable and made for India.

A big plus is it can be modified given its high revving nature.
If it comes on road at 2l. A best buy I would say.

This thing will be slower than the CBR as well.
Now only if they can price it as <1.5L tag.
Paaji ,

You are jumping the Gun IMO . Nobody has Seen the final Product Yet so it would be unfair to treat it as a dead horse even before it;s Launched. For People Like Me , this would make more sense given the upright seating posture & Suzuki's reliability . I know RE too have upright position but .

PS -What;s the Use of twin exhaust . First time seeing a Bike with twin exhaust ?
I am sure you have seen Below But still .

You forgot Mahindra's 'Mojo'. Which has twin exhausts from a single cylinder!

At first I too thought this is a 2 into 2 exhaust, which is not desirable for a 4 stroke twin cylinder. Later I realized that it is a 2-1-2 system. So I guess it is more of a cosmetic feature.

Good old Jawa/Yezdi had them, right from the sixties!

But isn't this a 250cc twin?

re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

IMO Suzuki is a bit too slow in bringing out a 250cc, especially if it brings on only 24-25bhp as claimed! The market has moved on to higher powered bikes now, and bringing out a commuterish 250cc,which can neither match the power of a twin cylinder, the thump of a RE or the economy of a 100cc commuter may make it difficult to sell. Also bikes like the Pulsar 200 have similar power figures and should have better fuel economy. Also Suzuki cant really match Bajaj's pricing.

re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

It all depends on the price bracket that it's launched in. For example, if it's in Duke 200 territory, I'd pick this. Not for the looks but for the relatively unstressed engine. Any price above that and Suzuki is looking at another market dud. Another major negative being Suzuki's wafer thin service network, atleast in this part of the country.
