Yes, very much available. Have seen quite a few of them recently in fact. You can check the Enfield website for details. Ex showroom is around 90K IIRC, and outside Punjab it shouldn't command too much of a waiting period as well, since it's only in Punjab that people are crazy about Standard, for no rhyme or reason.

How can they price it at 150K when CL500 retails at the same price and this one comes with more goodies.

The old pushrod engine has been phased out due to the emission norms & ,across the range, only UCE engines are available.
The only thing I dislike is why REML has changed the handlebar & seat design. It mars the OHREEGEENAL look of the BULLET. The bar and seat have been borrowed from the Electra and the original Bars (except seat) went to the Classic

Because that is how the last "British" BULLET looked like. Not only in Punjab, but in many states, people still vouch for this authentic Classic.

I think it has a rhyme and reason.

When I bought the RE 350 standard the machismo was also available and price difference was negligible. However the machismo with the longer silencer was missing the classic thump. Pic attached for reference.

However I loved the handle bar and seat setup from machismo. So I bought the standard for the thump and changed the two things. Loved the bike!

I noticed you are from Chandigarh. I am originally from Mohali and bought the bike from Manmohan Auto Store.

Re: Royal Enfield @ Auto Expo 2012

The Cafe Racer looks delicious. Happened to spot this URL - Royal Enfield Cafe Racer Kit - Custom Conversion Kit for the Classic British Motorcycle. Looks like RE sells these kits already in the US. But the Cafe Racer kit comes no where close to the one featured at the 'Expo.
While the Cafe Racer seems to be a diligent attempt, I somehow feel RE didn't put in enough to make TB into a full blown cruiser/chopper. Not just this new iteration, even the earlier ones I felt didn't have few quintessential chopper elements like the front suspension geometry - the rake is too steep for a chopper, the headlamp + meter assembly - may be is good enough for commuter bikes, but on a bike that is a classic, the fuel tank - somehow feels too bulbous and less than neatly integrated with the rest of the bike.
I can already heard die hard TB fans go up in arms and say this is not mean to be a true blue chopper!

That is quite an observation. And wonder why it is having gears on the right when all UCE engines have it on the left!
Personally I prefer this original setup i.e. brake on the left and gears on the right. After all that is a sign remarking its ancient pedigree when all British cycles had this kind of a setup.

Thats definitely the brake lever. You can see the see the switch that connects the lever to the tail light to the left of the brake lever.

Its a bit confusing .
The lever is similar to the lever which is found on RHS gear shift Enfields.
I also could not find any pictures of the LHS of this Continental GT.

Iron, that is brake lever not gear lever. It is light-weight forged alloy kind used in most SBKs where hydraulic brkes are used rather than thick cast brake lever used in smaller 100cc bikes which operate on simple cables.

Re: Royal Enfield @ Auto Expo 2012

The Cafe Racer does look very tempting, not a big fan of the left side gear bullets though. Think 'm obsessed to a bullet standard, my pick always remains the same no matter even if he stands between a bunch of super bikes.
