re: The All New Bajaj Pulsar 200NS Unveiled! Update: Rs 84,096- ex showroom Pune

So much drama and no Fuel injection ? This is where Indians fail miserably... I mean common you've given birth to an entire new generation and deprive it of something basic which will be the norm in the coming years.

And the ironic thing is, the over fed current 220 Dtsf-i has fuel injection, but a closed loop setup, which is old school.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mr bajaj implements the same problematic Fuel injection on this new 200 next year and comes up with ridiculous adverts, and issuing press releases claiming patents for triple spark and Fuel injection

I love that yellow !!
The new Pulsar looks fab n more than a generation ahead of the current breed. As usual Bajaj has loaded it to the brim with features.
I like the front look of the bike. Infact it reminded me a lot of the CB.
With a faired version in the pipeline too, does it really make sense to spend 1.5 times more on the CBR250?

Fit for the next 10 years if you ask me.
Great improvement from my first version Pulsar.
Tough competition for Yamaha FZ which for me was the best looking bike so far.

Nice review

So on road, you should get 45-50 kmph, which is still a lot better than a lot of 125 and 150 CC commuters This is a huge plus in today's fuel efficieny!

Looks awesome especially in Yellow. The front mask reminds me of Transformer. Extremely pleased with the way Bajaj has moved forward. Compared to old ones this one is at an all time high. Brownie points to both Bajaj and KTM for developing new pulsar and duke 200. Wish i was in India, this would have been might next bike.

Guess other manufacturers will be back to drawing boards especially Hero Motors. Makes all other bikes look 5-10 years old. Good job Bajaj.

Would Bajaj be upgrading the 150, 180 series too?

In due time I guess.
If they do and still manage the same price, it would rattle the whole 150cc segment currently flanked by the FZ series, the Honda Unicorn, the Hunk, CBZ etc. Liquid cooled engines at a price bracket of 80,000 is just outstanding.

This is a looker and a VFM product for a budget performance bike. Hope they have improved the reliability to some extent.

headlight reminds me of the ceeber, a projector would complete the look. Next major upgrade from bajaj will have twin cylinder and 8 spark plugs .

The bike looks absolutely SHARP!

Kudos to Bajaj's Design Team, though EFI should have been included from day 1.

And please increase the cylinders too, not just the spark plugs!

The king strikes back. Bajaj has really launched a competition killer. Great styling and feature packed. Will give nightmares to zmr and r15, also the fz series and apaches.

Only thing which I didn't like much is the rear end which looks like a cross between the p135 and apache

Bajaj nailed it this time. Lets see how TVS reply to this.

I think this is their marketing strategy, if you need EFI then go for the DUKE. Other wise how can they market DUKE if you get everything that it offers at a cheaper price (Pulsar 200).

May be some year down the line they can introduce EFI. As long as WMTC emission cycles are not introduced, the carburetors can easily match with EFI.

Not with links. It is the bare basic barebones types. Clearly visible in the pics on the fist page.

re: The All New Bajaj Pulsar 200NS Unveiled! Update: Rs 84,096- ex showroom Pune

Although I am in no mood to get myself a new bike (mostly due to issues with vitamin M), I feel that i should share my thoughts with everyone regarding the bike.

First and foremost, brilliant job Bajaj. With their Pulsar range, Bajaj has not only redefined the indian entry level performance bike market, but also made itself a global force capable of challenging the best in the market. Bajaj has set the benchmarks for others to follow. If they can get the pricing right, then it would be very difficult to stay away from such a deal.

But a word of caution. Since it a all new bike with an all new technology, IMHO, it would be better not to rush into the showrooms just yet. Although this bike must have undergone countless tests, a real world review will be highly appreciated. Also niggles do tend to crop up in due course of time, which might be evident from the first batch of bikes. That means a wait of at least 3-4 months, till a concrete decision can be made.

The new pulsar looks good and surely resembles the CBR1000r.The alloy wheel spokes however looks fragile. Is there any plans to discontinue the current pulsar 220 model?.

In case you are scratching your head as to where you have seen something similar to that headlight design, go an watch the last sequence of the the movie "Predator" when that thing unmasks itself revealing horns/claws.

The bike is very sharply designed. Makes me love my old rolly-polly pulsar even more. But thats just me. I am silly.

Full marks to Bajaj here for bringing a worthy successor to the current Pulsar. Missing the silencer pipe however.
