Re: New Honda Dio launched

Surprised, there is no mention of it on their website ? Has there been major change in the quality of the panels ?

The changes sound interesting & should make it even more popular with the College crowd, it would be interesting to see what color combinations they offer.

Wow! The new Dio looks trendy. Love the colour scheme. Is it a fiber body still?

Re: New Honda Dio launched

Sounds cool, however in terms of seating comfort (especially the back seat) I found the Honda Activa much more comfortable that the Deo.

I own an Activa while my BIL owns a Dio. when I sit on the dio at the back its like .. what the heck.. you are raised up and keep sliding down, and your knees are in an awkward frog like position.

I hope they have reduced the seat incline in the new model.

Re: New Honda Dio launched

I believe the Dio has lost its "cool" factor. There was something about the older model which made it unisex. But this one looks more feminine-oriented. Not being sexist, but just look at the 3D logo on the side. The front looks more Aviator derived. They should've put in Telescopic Shocks at the very least. But I'm hoping most for a dramatic change in the god awful pillion seating position which existed in the previous generation.

That is true in almost all the new bikes, the pillion sits higher than the rider and always pushing the rider.

That was nice. And I am sure you own one.

The new Dio looks good. The old one, though a head turner, had started looking dull coz of it's popularity. Every kid had one. The new one will definitely be a change. I like !!

Re: New Honda Dio launched

Has anybody changed/ upgraded the stock head lights of (now 'old') Honda Dio?
If yes, then what is the 'best' option with & without any changes in the original wiring harness?
Mods, please refer this query to a suitable thread, if doesn't 'fit' over here.
Thanks in advance in appreciation of suggestion, friends !

Re: New Honda Dio launched

Hi All,

I'm looking to buy the all New Honda Dio for my wife.

But I'm wondering if Activa would be a better choice.

Can someone please tell me the positives of Dio over an Activa.

Thanks!

The Dio is primarily focused around teenage crowd.

Positives
- Dio has lighter Body (actually now even Activa does so this might not be true now.)
- Its cheaper than Activa by around 2k
- More snazzy color options & stylish Decals

Negatives
- Fixed headlight vs moving (frankly speaking, doesn't make too much of a difference in day to day riding)

In short you cant go wrong with either of them, just see which one suits you better.

I know this answer is completely opposite to your query , but if you're looking for a scooter for your wife , please go and test ride the TVS wego , nothing beats the ease and confort of the wego . I promise you'll not regret it . Just try it once even if you dont intend to buy it .
