3.5 K seems to be a little on the higher side, as these retails anywhere between 2 to 3K but I think that the extra money is a trade off for the convenience of picking it up at the dealer itself.

Though there is no as such announcement on the part of Honda but the lots after the very first lot have seen considerable improvement in terms of fit and finish.

The 2012 model suppose to have far better quality compared to the earlier version as Honda has personally taken over the control of the company involved in the supply of parts for CBR. I got to know about this from a friend of mine how was working with HMSI.

The prices of the CBR have been jacked up further by almost 8-10K depending on the area where you may reside. The reason for this may be the budget which hikes duty from 10% to 12% on two wheelers!

Yeah. In Bangalore the price now is 1,74,172 as opposed to 1,70,076 earlier. :(

Hi Bandhav,

I know i paid a little more than I wanted to for the LS2 but it was a question of whether to pay a little extra for something that I liked anyways and needed (duh!) or putting off the delivery for another day,yeah right like I was gonna let that happen after waiting for so long to get back to a passion that I wanted to make a part of my life again.

allanujaki : I hope your wait is not gonna be long now and let me tell you its definitely gonna be worth it.

Price Hike : not desirable but oh well guess we'll have to get used to it.

But how can they raise the prices even before the budget has been signed off? Think there would be some other trigger for this rather than pointing the finger at budget.

Yes, I gave up! I went in for a black CBR. Too many broken promises with TriColour. I received my Bike on 21-MAR-2012. I just could not wait any longer :P

Yup good chance that they will finally start delivering the bike.
In any case, I backed out in part due to the colour I saw at Showroom. The blue was not what I expected.
One advice to all of you who pick up the bike, lose the saree guard!!
But make sure you collect it from them, along with the necessary nuts and bolts.

That thing is hideous and useless. Lose it on the day you get it :P

Ok, my friend has been asked to wait indefinitely (A month has already passed) JUST for the color in Mumbai the dealers don't have stock for HRC ABS. It is a shame, as Honda is not being able to provide dealers with stock!

The dealer does not even know when the stock will arrive!!

Apart from that, is there anyone else still waiting? OR has everyone given up and got the usual?

If anyone else has got their bikes delivered then please be kind enough to share pics...
