Bajaj Pulsar 220 Recall

Bajaj recalls Pulsar220 to fix faulty part - The Times of India

Could owners of the Pulsar 220 shed some light on exactly what was supposed to be wrong with the starter relay?

More importantly, is this the first time a bike manufacturer in India has issued a recall? If so, hats off to Bajaj.

There was a recall for the first batch of CBR250s to fix a few issues.

I'm surprised that Bajaj even had to recall now. The 220 has been selling for 4+? years, they should have ironed out all bugs and ensure tehre are no quality slips.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Recall

This may not be the first time. Back in 2002, when I bought the 'Bajaj BYK', I got a call from a service center within a month.

The Service center Manager told us that the Triple clamp is faulty and they had orders from Bajaj to replace them in a particular batch.

The job was done in 30 minutes and we were also given a receipt.

I'm sure there would have been many instances like this, but this may be the first time it is making into the news.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Recall

Too long have we been ignored as consumers in India. Happy to note that this happening in the Indian market too. It dispIays absolute concern for Quality and also lets the customer know how important he is to their business.Guess this is bound to happen when there is fierce competition in the market.

Ashok

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Recall

The first batch of P200 had weak front forks, there were lot of reports of stunters breaking the forks within first few weeks. There was unofficial recall, dealers called the owner and replaced the forks on the bike.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Recall

I have a P220 as well, and got a call from the Service center within 2 months of purchase to have the rear brake pads replaced. So surely, this is not the first time they are doing a recall.
