Took time and patience and a lot of agonizing hunt for parts, but at the end of the day its a pleasure riding it after the build.

Here are some pics Before and After style.

The bike looks clean. Apart from the paint, shockers and disc brakes, what other work has been done? Has the engine been rebuild? Please share the details of the work and cost. Also share your riding experience after the rebuild.

The rear shockers seems that of pulsar/discover, Also the front discs. Is it? Also, the engine guard seems an extra add-on. IMO Bike Would look better without it. The new instrument cluster seems of a RXZ.

Any changes in electricals?

Almost all the parts are new. Whatever I could source from the factory shop has been installed.

You sure do have an eye of the eagle sir! those are indeed Pulsar shocks, Front discs are of Gladiaror. The engine guard or the leg guard is taken from the RXZ model, because of the belly that I have installed, also the meter consoles are of RXZ as i wanted an RPM installed.

The main reason for rebuilding this bike was not for racing purpose. I wanted a daily bike that would also pack some punch with the feel of the retro 90s era (my teen age time). As I was a hardcore bulletier for more than a decade but then times change and so do the responsibilities. I couldn't do justifications to the bullet as it needed a lot of pampering and care.

The engine has been built again. It was on the 4th oversize before the rebuild, but instead of reboring to 5th oversize I chose to re-sleeve it. I know many might not like that and there are endless arguments about a re-sleeved engine performance. But the engine was re-sleeved by one of the veterans in the field and i love the performance as of now. The engine never overheats and the mileage has improved drastically, along with the performance I couldn't imagine. Hence the re-sleeving worked for me. I am still on the hunt for a new bore though (hopefully Yamaha does ship them as the RX 100 ones).

The bike on the whole has been brought back to stock condition, of course except the colour, and a few necessary changes according to my style of riding. I will go slow on other performance mods.

As for the cost of the rebuild, I wouldn't mention it as no one would believe what I have spent on it. But at the end of the day I am very happy and that's what matters the most.:)

Couple of queries:
1. How does teh bike ride on the pulsar shocks at high speed and taking corners? Any wobble? anything uncomfortable.
2. Was it a straight fit or did u have to modify anything?
3. Front shocks are also from Gladiator?

I feel the feedback much more better on the rear shocks and corners are a breeze... nothing uncomfortable as such... infact the bike feels more comfortable on speed breakers and pot holes.

Straight fit but that increased the height slightly by half an inch. But since I am 6 feet tall I don't mind that.

Full frontal is Gladiator's, for the disc break accommodation.

Lovely restoration there Sir. The color choice is brilliant. Offcourse the re-sleeving job is not welcomed by many, if the work was done by an experienced hands, outcome should not be a problem in terms of performance.

Few observation from my side:-

1. The front tyres looks almost the same profile of the rear, is that so? Good that you have chosen M45 (soft compound) for the ride.
2. Chrome legged mirrors? Is that of FIEM make?
3. The leg guard(crash guard) could have been given the matt black finish to match the black engine bottom.
4. The headlight holder has some cover, to me it looks like the one which is seen in the cars, is that the same?
5. Are you using oil pump or pre-mixing?

I am looking at rebuilding my 2002 RX135. Would like to change the suspensions and tyre for sure and chromin' it up and changing the colour to metallic blue.

By the way the front tyre seems to be 90/90? and wats the back tyre?..stock rims?

Both stock rims and both tyres Michelin M45's.

The metallic blue of Maruti A star looks fantastic. Its also called racing blue I guess.

yes to answer your questions,

1. Both tyres M45's.
2. Fiem Mirrors.
3. Leg guard is OG, but RXZ to accomodate the belly.
4. Hella H4 headlight, a bit on the expensive side but gives a superb output with the 100/90 Kit.
5. Yes the oil pump is working perfectly, with only Motul 500 used both for premix and oil chamber.

Did you mean 510 for the side oil tank and 5100 for the gearbox/transmission?

It is still 'In Progress' stage. Expecting to complete with in few weeks. Watch for the update.

Yes that was a typo sorry, the Motul 510 for side oil tank and also for premix.
For the gearbox I am using Mobil 1.

That's one great looking bike.
I should say you sure do have a good taste.
It is one of the well restored bike i have seen.
The color is amazing and the choice of same graphics goes well.
Pin stripping looks nice.
Given me lots of insight to what I can do on my bike.
It will be nice if you can share the cost of restoration.
