Modest yet stylish design. Should do very well in market as a daily commuter. IMO Brand Honda should also play a psychological role to boost this particular model.

How is this any different from the twister base model? Just a sticker job?

Looks pretty decent, Honda's only purpose of launching this is to get a bigger market share. Should be interesting how it fares against the trusted old Splendor.

Very minor differences really. The Twister has a max power of 9 BHP against 8.5 BHP for the Yuga, the Twister has a front disc brake while the Yuga has both drums, and the front tyre of the Yuga is 80/100 against 70/100 of the Twister. The rear suspension of the Twister is better, however, the Yuga's overall dimensions is more than the Twister and the ground clearance is marginally lesser .

Yes. Criticaly Honda will target this bike as a family commuter (like Splendor maybe). Twister is more youth oriented (though nowadays youngsters don't settle with anything below 125cc).
I can see this bike doing wonders to company's sales. Name is really awkward though.
Honda Dream is sufficient.
What does Yuga mean BTW?

Leave everything else aside (and those else have nothing in them to eulogize about) Honda seems to be trying to trump Hero Motors finding the crapiest of names for their bikes. Dream Yuga, Huh! What a name... Translated loosely in english that will read out something akin to Eutopian Era. Go figure!

re: Honda launches entry level Dream Yuga

Well while the name is important, many names in the recent past have defied logic. What does Ertiga mean? Why is the XUV 5 "ooh ooh"?
So leaving the name part aside, if the product is good, then it should sell, and the company is all bothered about raking in the moolah and not getting prizes about it's name selection.

re: Honda launches entry level Dream Yuga

It's obvious this new Honda is not intended for sale in the U.S.A. with that name on it.

YUGA is much too close to YUGO, a small automobile that was imported from Yugoslavia into the US.

Although it was inexpensive, it rapidly became infamous for having parts fall off or break without warning.
I doubt that there are now over 3 running Yugo's in the entire United States.

This one certainly looks much better and well put together than the new Suzuki Hayate. With it being a Honda n all, I expect to see a few on the road soon

If the name sounds crap, then guys read this - xBhp.com : The Global Indian Biking Community - View Single Post - With TVS behind, Honda looks forward to beat Bajaj.

Honda is not following the HMC way, it was HMC who was following Honda's way & its nothing new move from Honda after the demerger.

re: Honda launches entry level Dream Yuga

Of the recent commuter class launches, I would definitely give it to Honda for launching the Yuga and most importantly for the price. At Rs.44,xxx its a good buy and considering that you have something new, something different than the regular sticker job launches from HMC or an old new discover from BAL.

Though the Honda Twister did good on the sales figure, it was a little too much design (oomph factor) for a 110cc bike. With the Yuga they have nailed it and one could say that its a dream launch for Honda in the commuter class.
A small compare on the price of the 2 commuter class offering from Honda.

re: Honda launches entry level Dream Yuga

Looks very similar to Honda Shine but with thinner engine block. My guess is that this would definitely make a dent in Splendour sales in semi-urban/rural areas. As it is, lot of Honda Shines are seen on road used as commuters in semi-urban/rural areas. Ironically, even before HMSI entered Indian market, people in small towns used to invariably refer to Hero Honda bikes (particularly Splendour) as 'Honda' bikes.

Twister base model has drum as well. Looks like Twister is the urban college goer's bike whereas Yuga with thicker tires? is a B-town family bike.
