This forum was where we had discussed quite a lot...

U will find almost all the help you need...

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...lp-me-out.html

Just,.....

after fitting an air filter - upsizing the carb jets would help, and decide whether you want to increase aceleration of the bike (which is when you drop teeth from the sprocket), or top whack...

Cheers...and happy riding hard...

@turbo v12: you drop the teeth on the FRONT sprocket to increase acceleration, but decrease top end. you drop some teeth on the REAR sprocket to increase the top end, but lose out on initial acceleration.

@greendevil;simply installing k&n will not be of much consequence. try tuned (free-flow) exhausts with a rejetted carb first, since you're running the slightly restrictive 'exhaustec'. second, try getting 18 inch alloys instead of your O.E 17 inchers; sure, the gearing will go taller (since wheel upsizing will affect the final drive), but the bike'll also be faster.

Free flow for bikes are made by several people in the country. We also have imported ones like HRC, Yoshimura etc. But see which ones are custom made for your bike. Exhausts are just not "fix and ride" accessory. They are many calculations based on what is it fabricated. If you just fit any, it will fry your valves.

Try for a custom make. If you have any contacts in chennai, try the tectrac or the proton exhausts.

Generally, puting protons exhaust or even tectrac exhuast gives u good mid range in ur bike. As fitting , it will give good intial pick up, n for good mid range u can fit a tectrac exhaust.

Source a jet that is atleat 10 sizes larger than your stock jet size. For example, Ambition jet size is 95. So I need to source a 105 size jet. Luckily CBZ jets are 105.
