hmm any ways lets come back to the Bike i got back in contact with G1 and will talk to him and go chandigarh to see the bike. he says that the bike is not in a good condition.

Overdrive August 2000 issue. It featured a person from Ludhiana who has made a bike with a gypsy engine (the previous 1 litre one) and an RD gearbox. Red colour, and was a superb effort no doubt. I just couldn't get over it! He called it 'Franklin' for some reason (albeit slightly strange) which I can't remember. This issue also featured the Boss Hoss, MTT Y2K and some other whacko bikes! Will try and find that issue.

i had the pleasure of riding this bike last to last sunday .

and it does not have a 800cc engine its a gypsy 1300cc engine mated to an RD-350 gearbox

I wonder how these bikes sound ? Do they have a decent exhaust note ? Like the ones on SBKs ? Just asking. Commendable jobs, all these!

hmm.interesting.But these are not street legal at all.expect cop trouble.

i have always dreamed about making a bike, so have decided to start the project.
i am not an engineer but i think its now nor never time.:D
it will be similar to Jeewanjit Singh's bike with MPFI 1300cc SUZUKI but dont know how it will look at the end.:uncontrol

Why would they want to use a quad front suspension? I've never heard such a suspension before. Frankly speaking, this is the first time I'm seeing a mototcycle with a quad front suspension. Why can't they build with stronger springs, viscous oil or inverted telescopic combinations, instead of quad front suspension. Its looking very odd!!! Any techy answer to this is appreciated.

only reason that they wanted to use local parts. & there are no beefy shocks made in India which can support the weight of this bike.

the world famous NEANDER 1400 TURBO-DIESEL uses quad front shocks too.

Hmmm...I'm still finding this answer not so convincing.

But a 800 cc gasoline is much lighter than a 1400cc Diesel right?

Anyway, its upto them how they use, but it could just only be me who can't take the quad fronts. IMHO, they could've simply used FZ's or RE's, viscous oils to get the same job done.

i think the steel rhino also weights approx 250kg. that's why a quad shocks.
