There has to be a catch somewhere! I cannot believe the on road comes up to just around 25k more than the TB500.
The pricing is right when compared to the TB500.

I am guessing, the brakes and shocks have gone to Endurance from Paioli and Brembo and the tires will be a big question.

Hello Folks,

Man_of_steel - yes the bike was shod with Pirelli rubbers. Out here, the riding style is a bit spirited and even little quirks in the bikes are easily identified.

The highway speeds are 120 kph with an allowance on 20 kph before the radar gets you.

It is outright frightening when even multiaxle trailers overtake the EI products and then you realise that EI has a lot of ground to cover in case it needs to take this product to a world stage.

It sorely misses the 6th gear.

It is a B road bike and will be hopelessly slammed on A roads. In India, it will be OK, as long as you don't compare it to any other offering in the 500+cc class.

Also, it is interesting to watch comments from people who have still not ridden the bike.

Reg,

BB

Eicher Motors launched 'Continental GT' priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (on-road Delhi).

Eicher Motors launched 'Continental GT' priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (on-road Delhi).
The 535-cc motorcycle, manufactured at the company's Oragadum manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu, would be retailed at Rs 2.14 lakh (on road) in Mumbai and below Rs 2 lakh in some markets including Punjab

Excellent pricing of the RE Continental GT which is just a little above their 500cc Chrome and Desert Storm bikes.

Even though the engine platform is same (UCE) but, this bike has a slightly larger displacement (35cc) and 2.5 BHP more powerout, it would be interesting to see the real world difference in terms of performance from these slightly upped figures

Anyone knows from when test rides would be available for this bike?

I think these prices are ex-showroom and not on-road.

The middle one seems to be a removable cowl covering the rear seat of that long single seat.

Can you let me know which showroom has all 3 options on display? I visited one in Ghaziabad and one in Noida but they had the same (single seat) option on display and did not have an idea about other configurations.

The one closest to the camera looks like it'd be nice to have if riding with your significant other

Haha, that's actually a standard single seat, it's too short and the upward slope of the seat rear would be too sharp for the significant other to be comfortable. Unless, of course, you can come up with some novel ideas

The Standard single seat looks best while the two seater option looks a cheap last minute job.
The single seat would be good if your better half is on the leaner side and you are in the early days of courtship/marriage, else its gonna be a disaster!
