The bike is now (re) launched at whopping Rs.2.69 Lacs (ex-showroom) at the Auto Expo.

Not sure if they are willing to garner good numbers in the country where the bikes market is one of the biggest & growing fast in executive segment.

Doesn't sound too exciting now, since another 1.5L is good enough to get a Harley Davidson 750! And I guess things will get even worse when the 500 is launched.

re: DSK-Hyosung's next launch in India: Aquila 250 EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 2.69 lakh

DSK-Hyosung used the opportunity presented by the 12th Auto Expo (which was held earlier this month) to launch the Aquila 250 cruiser motorcycle in India at a price of Rs. 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Yesterday, the company opened a new showroom in Bengaluru, Karnataka and also launched the Aquila 250 in the city with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 2,70,000.

The Aquila 250 features a 249 cc, oil-cooled, 4-stroke, 8-valve, V-Twin engine, producing 26.21 bhp @ 9500 rpm and 21,37 Nm of torque @ 7000 rpm. The bike gets a single disc brake and a drum brake at the front and rear respectively. Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork at the front and double hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.

i think the bike is a little overpriced, no complaints though! But I'd expect atleast rear disc brakes at that price range.

Also, this doesn't sport a BELT like in GV650 pro, uses the traditional Chain! again no complaints though but could have been a little better package with these specs.

2.69L and a drum brake at the rear? They literally do not want anyone to buy this bike do they? This and Suzuki In-A-Zoom-A.Utter disastrous pricing.

The Dsk Hyosung Aquila 250 Cruiser

Test drove the Aquila 250 bike twice in Pune traffic and found it a good replacement for my daily used Eliminator. I am planning to buy it next week. Earlier test drives on HD Street (too powerful for city roads and ridiculous accessory pricing plus some loose ends) and Avenger Street 220 (rides well but bajaj quality is a question) did not quite meet my requirements although the Avenger option is much cheaper and is a cruiser. The Aquila 250 accelerates slowly but is good for city driving. I am in my fifties and am used to a cruiser so this seems to fit the bill.

Anybody out there who has bought the Hyosung Aquila250 after relaunch by DSK and would like to share ownership experience?

DSK Hyosung Aquila 250 limited edition launched

DSK Hyosung has launched limited edition models of the Aquila 250 cruiser bike in India at a price of Rs. 2.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). These new models will be available in three new colours: matte green, carbon black and desert brown. Only 100 units of the limited edition Aquila 250 will be sold in the country.

No mechanical or feature related changes have been made to the limited edition models. It is thus powered by the same 249 cc, oil cooled, V-twin engine rated at 26.21 BHP @ 9500 rpm and 21 Nm of torque @ 7000 rpm, while being mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. It gets a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.

Did I read it correctly?
9500rpm! In a cruiser!

Heavy cruisers like this should ideally be powered by higher capacity, low revving and relaxed motors.

Yes, this is no real cruiser, it borrows its engine from the sporty Hyosung GT250R. This would probably never give the real cruiser feel while cruising along on the highways... 100-110 on this would be buzzy I guess. and they just learnt one trick from Royal Enfield, matt finish colours as special editions
