Meanwhile, all prepared for the arrival next week. All geared up.
Bought a Cramster jacket and riding glove, Sol Helmet. Although I am not a fan of the graphics, there are some subtle orange inserts that will match the 390s color.

Guys, let me know what you think.

Cool. Looks great.

Can you please provide the split of the cost involved in purchasing these items.

SOL helmet at INR 6000. Bought at Megha Enterprises, near Lalbagh. DOT certified. Checked out several other options like Sparx and LS2. Finally found something that satisfied me in terms of quality and looks.

Cramster Breezer at INR 5450, bought at Cramster Shop in Cunningham Road.

Cramster Leather gloves at 1750 bucks. May not be suitable for wet conditions. OK for a starter. Slightly on the expensive side but made of original leather and hence the cost.

I would also suggest you check out the Spartan jacket that fits better and looks slightly better than Cramster. Cramster although is practical, looks slightly more dated.
Spartan jackets will cost around 7K. Available in Megha Enterprises. Please see this option before deciding. I found this to be really nice, but had already bought Cramster.

re: The KTM Duke 390 Ownership Experience Thread

Please take care of the keys. One of my keys broke. They are too flimsy. I am going to check tomorrow on the details of getting a duplicate now.

The keys broke as i tried to remove them and luckily the broken bit was taken out. I can use my bike with the second key.

The seat design actually is very bad. It is giving deep pain in my back and almost like in my pelvis. Rode with a small pillow and this fixed. All these tested over a good distance.

I am convinced that i am getting the front seat with extra cushion on top.

Last but not the least, i want to search for parts and some accessories. Like handle bars etc. Please share any link you may find.

Images of the jacket & gloves too.

@VW2010: that is not sounding like a quality product.

BTW, is the key chipped for an immobilizer?

I have PMed you on the accessories.

Luckily you pulled the broken bit out or imagine getting stuck on the roadside with a broken key inside the ignition slot. Bajaj/KTM should really avoid using flimsy materials for making crucial things such as keys. Anyway, we can't blame Bajaj/KTM for such things because we are getting a powerful bike for just 2 Lacs. And kudos to Bajaj for transforming a world class product into a 'desi' one.

re: The KTM Duke 390 Ownership Experience Thread

The beast finally arrived after a annoying long wait of 100 days to be exact. It is about time manufacturers start paying you for waiting. My KTM was delivered yesterday. It was a quiet and peaceful delivery process. It looked like nobody was there at the showroom when I got there. The PDI was fast and went without problems. My one concern was a connector under the seat that was disconnected and a bare wire strand. This got me really worried. There was another delivery taking place and this bike had the exact same bare wire sticking out too. I was told not to connect the disconnected connector and not fiddle with anything under the seat. There was just a km indicated on the odometer. Tharian (handle) rode the bike back home as I have a medical condition that does not allow me to ride yet. Its gonna take well over a month before I report anything on the bike. As usual, the bike stalled on the way home and it took a while to fire it up again. No major concerns on the cosmetics and build of the bike. I can live with some of the small rough edges. Dealer experience was nothing more than Average. I will look at another dealer if I were to buy another KTM motorcycle.
