Absolutely Killer pricing. Am going for it.
Couldn't have asked for a better pricing. Well done Bajaj

LOL. If i can get a half decent price for the 220, then it goes. Otherwise I might just ride it down to Santiniketan - Bengal and keep it at my parents place. CBR is a sureshot sell - hopefully I can get a decent price for it.

Let me know in case you decide to ride down to Bengal. Would get another reason to ride.

Amen!

Coming back to topic, with the taller gearing the 390 should be a good highway muncher too. Just hope the windshield, that KTM provides as an accessory, does its job well.

Guess, this is what they call dusting the competition I can see some D200 owners upgrading to this monster.

re: The KTM Duke 390 Ownership Experience Thread

Oh this is indeed killer, killer pricing.

A Hero Impulse and a CBR 250R are up for sale. Anyone interested?

But on the other hand, I want to wait for just a few months since Honda, Kawa and Yam will have to put in something to stem the flow of Dukes 390's from the Bajaj showrooms.

Bangalore OTR is 2.12L. Really really VFM.
Bookings open tomorrow and delivery can happen in next month for initial buyers. Bajaj is expecting a hell lot of bookings and i am sure actual waiting period could be in months in the coming days.

Super awesome pricing. If there is one desi auto company that makes me proud, its Bajaj Auto. Kudos all around.

Rightly said! The response from the competitors will be fun to follow, although Kawasaki I doubt are going to do much. While there will still be takers for N300, I think the D390 will eat into a significant part of it's sales.

re: The KTM Duke 390 Ownership Experience Thread

Well done Bajaj and KTM, brilliant pricing.
Will buy/book the day I come back.

Quite like the fly screen but what happened to the Akra exhaust that was seen in the posters stuck to the showroom glass?

Call me old school but quite like the sight of a meaty exhaust pipe as compared to the under belly ones. The wait begins ...

Awesome stuff... KTM has pulled an ace! Motorcycling in India has never been better served than what KTM has offered today. Now, only if the other manufacturers take note and keep rolling out some goodies like the Duke 390.

Also, why is Bajaj treating Kawasaki as a step brother? Or is it Kawasaki who fail to see India's potential as a market?

re: The KTM Duke 390 Ownership Experience Thread

During the launch, none of the journos who attended the function asked about the sports and enduro version of this bike. I was surprised. We could have heard from the Boss himself, about the plans for those models. Most of them were asking very very basic questions about market share, yada, yada etc.

Awesome pricing!! Bang on. Suddenly my CBR250R looks expensive. And brilliant move by KTM & Bajaj on keeping ABS as standard in Duke 390. I hope that Kawasaki will learn something & offer ABS as standard in Ninja 300 & Ninja 650.

re: The KTM Duke 390 Ownership Experience Thread

The Kawasaki apart,Bajaj knows how to price a product!! 1.8 Ex showroom for D390? that's just fantastic.

BTW a query, the KTM India website says "11 l Unleaded premium fuel (95 RON)", does it mean the Duke is not good to be run on regular fuel ?

Awesome pricing! This would attract even fence-seaters like me to take on another loan!

R15, CBR250 and Ninja300 all look terribly overpriced now!

Is this introductory price? and if yes, what is the realistic price let's say after a year or so?
