Booked my duke today at KTM Lower Parel No. 53. The price seemed higher than what other people posted on the thread. On further enquiry realized they are offering zero depreciation insurance hence the increase in the insurance cost & RTO costs. Also got a confirmation that the bike will only come with orange alloys & handle bar grip protectors. Will be filing my paperwork with a nationalized bike to avoid high interest rates, saw a few interesting choices in the thread, let me know if anyone finds anything better. Also need to look for a nice ventilated jacket & gloves up to 5-8K. Any suggestions.

Also guys the rep said you can't change the color of the wheels, as you might face trouble doing your claims. Is that correct?

At the same time saw a bike kept under wraps which the rep said is the Enduro 350 off road version. That was one beast of a bike with the seat all the way up to the fuel tank. You can only ride this standing up most if the time. The shocks were massive at both front & back with all terrain tires. The bike is due to launch tomorrow price not revealed yet. Plus they are getting the display 390 tmw with the test bikes expected on Wednesday.

How confident was the guy about KTM launching the enduro? Or was it just a display piece?

Please let us know which bank gives you the best deal. I just returned after visiting my home branch SBI and the discussion lasted twenty seconds. I went prepared with all documents. Feel like an idiot now. No two wheeler loans (could be branch specific) and personal loans only if I have a salary account with them. This is just weird.

Does any one have rpm to speed figures of both 200 and 390 ? .
Also what is dry weight of 390 ?. 200 it is 129 kgs .

Also many are complaining of low end enough torque( wild acceleration of 200) missing in 390 .

thats plenty enough actually

This bike is aimed at being a tourer and the gears are taller. And you start at 2L and imagine the amount of mod you can do to this bike from stock.

Excellent pricing, that too with ABS !

My only concern would be the seating comfort in Duke 390 as it was far below expectation in Duke 200. I hope they have improved on that or else it would be better to get a cushion done for making it an apt tourer.

Cheers

Surprisingly (for me at least), over the same distance/route, the Duke's seat is more comfortable and gives less butt burn, and which sets in after a longer distance, than the stock saddle of a Bullet. My only coomplaint is the rear pillion seat rise which prevents one from sliding back and forth a bit to .... errr ..... massage/relieve the sore area.

So Doc, whats the verdict, worth going in for one, tired of keeping the guzzler (fuel +2T) happy over long rides, need an alternate fast, whats your thoughts??

Spend a thousand more and cushion the seat the way you want. It doesnt take much time to make these mods based on your needs. The last reason you would reject this VFM bike.
