Which HJG option you took? MadDog is definitely very expensive but they are probably one of the leading brands in India these days. There is one more brand called Vaishnu. Not much of a fan flow here in the forum. But they have some interesting offerings too. At the moment, I am also checking with those. They are venturing with LEDs for 2 wheelers and in 3.5inch dia. From what I read, they have a good presence in the commercial segment and from this year they want to target the 2 wheeler market too.

For the mobile charger, my buddies have suggested going for the one which has the option of a Cigarette lighter too, so that if there is a need, one can make use of the pump. Since I have already purchased a BOLT one I am not taking that dive.

Let me check for the Timsun brand for my Amun-Ra's configuration and the tread pattern.

Have attached a pic of my bike, doesn't show the Barkbuster Knuckle guards since I had replaced the KTM ones a week after I had taken the pic.
Coming to the tyres, you can also consider Ralco Speedblasters, pretty good and bang for the buck.
On the rear view mirrors, even the ones from the Avenger are decent.

If possible, can you please refer to the parts manual and share the part number of that.

Try to source the Classic trials bash plate

Yes, you might have to change the leg guard to free the mounting points. Have a look.

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

Had a quick trip to Guhaghar on the 5th and the trip was exciting. Basically wanted to check my physical capability for long rides. Next ride that I intend to do is the one to Statue of Unity.

The road from Pune till Umbraj is an excellent highway. From the intersection, one is expected to take the road towards Patan. The ghat section roads are scenic though at certain sections there are no roads at all because of construction work. After all this one enters the city of Chiplun and is a bit crowdy. Working stretches start again after Chiplun and continue for a maximum of the distance.

Few snaps as follows:

Got a call from the RE that they have been able to procure the new Sump Guards and it seems to be a direct fit on the standard. So A visit to the Service Center will probably happen tomorrow. Also I got new Aux lights from a rather little known brand called Vaishnu. They are primarily entering the 2 wheeler market, though have a huge presence in the heavy vehicular segment. These needs to be fitted too and then a feedback provided to the team. I have ordered the Mounts from the AOM for these and once they reach, the AUX will be fitted. A detailed review of the same will follow suit.

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

RE Sump Guard (Part Number: 1990739)
Price: 3100
Product Link: https://www.royalenfield.com/in/en/gma/1990739/

This morning, I had been to the SC and the new RE Sump guard is a direct fit to the Standard B500 model. The quality seems to be good. The technicians had a tough time in fitting this since this is the first time they have attached a sump guard on a Standard Bullet with Leg Guard. Below are some of the images taken during the activity.

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

Got my Fog Lights fitted, with a wire harness

These are 35W each and its advised to fix via the harness. Waiting for next night ride to test the full potential.

While this was being fitted, I realized that the complete wiring harness needs to be replaced as there is leakage observed. So this morning I have bought the complete wiring harness (Part Number: 888314 / Price: 1840). I intend for a DIY, but some guidance videos will help. Let's see!

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

The same old issues with the meter reading have started again (first surfaced around late 2016) and I just posted a query in the related forum (https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motor...ml#post5263653 (Royal Enfield Queries))

Am I the only one who has faced issues with the odometer, especially with B500s?

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

Got the wiring completed from a prescribed bullet servicing agent located at Wagholi. I did not go for the DIY for the simple reason that I had two wiring harnesses to go along with the Bullet Wiring Kit.
Bullet 500 Wiring Kit Part Number is 888314; price is 1840.

The internal tag says it belongs to Electra 350. Surprisingly my stock wiring also had 350 mentioned, though the part numbers match. Therefore, I guess one can conclude that wiring is the same for both Standards. A point worth mentioning over here is that the quality of the wire, harness, joints, clips etc is much better than the stock. Might be that the quality has improved from 2013, but the fact that wiring for the horns are now extended all the way till the mount points (my stock wiring used to be all naked for the horns and I had a tough time taping it up frequently during the initial days) makes me believe that stock wiring is of inferior quality. Anyways, other owners who have performed similar work on their bullets can advise more.

The extra wiring harness that I have installed is one for the fog lights and another for the headlights. These harnesses come with separate fuses. Also the tubing etc seems to be decent and gives me the confidence of at least another 5-7 years of trouble-free experience. Probably I could have made with just one harness+relay for the fogs and headlights, but the fact that these are the two most power-consuming "entities", made me decide on separate platters.

Though the Headlight harness is capable till 100/130W I felt that it's too much from a two-wheeler. I have plans to update the bulb to a Osram halogen 90/100W Rallye. Currently, the headlights are 55/60W halogen from the Philips. The Aux LEDs have a combined wattage of 70W. The effectiveness and the quality will be tested during the upcoming night rides, as day rides are not possible during the summer season!

Next in line for replacement are as follows:

Ceat GripXL tires for both the front and rear (90/90-19" and 120/80-18"). I am facing some challenges in getting fresh stocks of these two sizes. If anyone has any contacts who can help me out with a good deal on fresh stocks (not less than 6 months old), please do let me know.

12V14AH batteries. I was looking for Amaron, unfortunately, they do not cater to the 14AH segment. Trying to crack a deal with the alternative option of Exide. Tata Green are the ones currently connected, and I am looking to change these.

I believe the stock output of the alternator is 120W (please correct me if i m wrong) for the 500 UCE. If you upgrade the main headlight to 100/90 bulb, if you use the main headlight and the aux lights, we are seeing 170W of power draw from the battery just for the lights. Don't you think this will put an extra load on the Alternator. Moreover, highly doubtful if the stock RE wiring will sustain this increased load on the long run.
