It has emerged that Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) has already dispatched the first lot of the highly anticipated bike to its dealers, thereby signalling that the Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS launch is very near to us. The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS images we have here show the bike in all its glory at a Bajaj dealer’s stock yard.

I hope the paintwork/stickering is bit hooligan. Looks interesting in the all mashed zebra layout.

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

In my opinion, the design is pretty poor. Not something expected from Bajaj. The front end looks too tacky, reminded me of Transformers Bumblebee. The rear brake light resembles something unmentionable. However if the specs are sound and priced right, it could still eat into Duke and Rc200 sales. If only the design was better, would have been much stronger competition.

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

The front is too complicated but I can stare at it and yes it indeed reminds one of transformer characters

The tail light though is a monstrosity , hideous and god knows what went through their mind approving of that design.

Side profile is fine but there is that underlying feeling that it appears like some one did a mod job on a NS by plonking in the yellow colored fairing on a white colored body . NS looks much better , there is flow and symmetry in that design which this lacks .

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

The reveal doesn't look like in India with that south east Asian language in the background?

Unfortunately, totally overdone front end as seen from previous pics :(

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

We can't expect looks to be smashing any more, I have read somewhere that the designer of the Pulsar 200NS has left the company. Hope Bajaj finds someone good to replace that position.

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

As per news, these pictures are from Turkey. So, Indian launch may not be that imminent.
Spoken to Bajaj Dealership in Gurgaon. They are aware that this bike is coming. They also mentioned that it'll be launched only by new year and not in November/December.

Graphics apart, bike's design looked good to me. I am all in for black 200 SS. I think, I'll hold my purchase till next year and once revealed, decide between 200 NS, 200 SS, or Gixxer.

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

Why can't Bajaj learn from its mistakes? KTM Bajaj tie up should have taught Bajaj to build atleast visually appealing bikes. This looks disaster, especially the color scheme. Hopeful that 400 would be good looking atleast.

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

I saw the test mule of (I am assuming) the 200SS in the Pashan Area of Pune. It was coming from a distance and the headlights were really bright that I noticed it from a 100 metres at mid day. The bike was camouflaged and went fast. The lights give character to the front, but without the lights on the front looked too busy to me. I have a P220F and the height of this bike front was definitely lower, similar to R15. Also the rider appeared to be around 6 foot height and was a bit hunched, compared to the almost upright stance on the P220. Rear looks bulkier than the bikes we see these days but the area from the number plate to the seat was completely wrapped up. Special mention to the tail lights, exactly as we see on the pictures on this thread, it looks overdone. This is again going to be tighter rear seat like we see in most of the bikes these days - Dukes, RCs etc. The engine was silent, couldn't make out above the other traffic around.

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

The faired 200 SS has been spotted, and i might dare to say.. Bajaj has overdone the styling, just like Mahindra did with their XUV 500, sorry 5oo as they prefer saying.

The tail lamp job look hideous. Mr. jr. Bajaj, please pay attention to the styling.

Head here for more details and pics

ride safe,
Abhishek //M

Re: New faired-in Pulsar 200 in the works?

The news article states that "If Bajaj does give the India spec Pulsar 200 SS ABS, it could be the cheapest bike in the market with the feature". However, AFAIK, TVS apache already comes equipped with ABS at a cheap price. Unless 200 SS is launched at a price point lower than 180 cc apache, this statement is going to be wrong.

Came upon this awesome video of a Pulsar 200ss. Seems like a solid product. Can Bajaj take Pulsar to the next level ??

Can't wait to see how Pulsarmania ads are gonna look like with this in the picture
