Re: Mahindra opens 100 cr. 2-wheeler R&D facility in Pune

Why can't they bring out something like the Blaze?

Performance oriented scooters is still an untapped market in India, and I am sure there will be buyers who want the convenience of AT with a fair amount of fast acceleration from a scooter.

Honestly, how much do the Rodeo, Duro sell? Bringing out something like the Blaze will surely turn heads towards the Mahindra stable; sales aside, they will at least get the attention they deserve.

Mahindra Gusto gets two new colours, can be booked on Paytm

Two special editions of the Mahindra Gusto gearless scooter have been launched at Rs. 52,010 (ex-showroom, Delhi). These special editions are essentially two new colours - Pacific Matt Blue, and Crimson Matt Red, which will be offered during the festive season. Mahindra two-wheelers has also partnered with e-commerce portal - Paytm, to allow customers to book the Gusto Special Editions by paying a booking amount of Rs. 5,000.

The Special Editions will only be offered in the top-spec VX grade. In addition to the two new colour tones, the Gusto special edition will also get beige panels around the footwell area, instead of the black ones of the standard models.

There are no mechanical changes on the Special Editions. They continue to be powered by the same 109.6 cc, four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the standard Gusto VX.

Re: Mahindra to unveil new Gusto 110 cc scooter at Auto Expo 2014 EDIT: Now Launched

I thought the Gusto already came with those colors!

I tested the Gusto 125 last month while I was planning to replace my under powered RayZ.

The Gusto 125, is a good scooter, the engine refinement and power is excellent, the suspension is typical M&M, soaks up everything. The seat height adjust is very thoughtful and useful. The flip key and the Led torch are just gimmicks though. What lets the scooter down is its 'PATHETIC' plastics. It looks worse than those 10 rupee plastic containers you buy. It feels brittle, and edges are rough. Panel gaps are uneven, the Chrome is disgusting, and the black plastic shrouds around the blinkers had already faded on a brand new piece.

If only, they could up the quality at-least to TVS (Actually Jupiter oozes of quality in comparison) levels they really have a winner in their hands.
