I was going to mahabaleshwar yesterday when I saw 4-5 test bikes. There were 2 bikes with a fairing and the other 2 were naked. I guess the naked bikes were 150/180ns. They looked like the 200ns but had thinner tyres and no rear discs.

  • No rear disks.
  • Engine fins are visible. So not liquid cooled like the 200NS.
  • Looks like the engine block on the 150 and the 180.
  • Fully covered chain.
  • Looks like they're bringing the triple spark tech to the 150 and the 180 as well, going by the logo on the engine block.

  • What are the chances of the new engines being 4 valved? It will certainly put the Pulsar miles ahead of the competition in terms of technology.

Guess this will be launched at the Auto Expo, with what might be the P375 or the P200SS.

With the new Discovers (100M/T & 125T/ST) being shod with 4-valve engines, it's only a matter of time before their whole lineup embraces this.

It will be interesting to see how the 150/180 fares if and when they're launched with the 200NS design philosophy.

Drat! Now everything looks like a 200NS!

Clever move,it aspires buyers in the 150cc/160cc/180cc to move towards the newer NS's which now has the muscular naked-bike look.

Also the 200cc buyers shall now gravitate towards the 200SS "Dhoom" edition.Would that mean a fall in sales of the 200NS? Because i see the NS now being cannibalised by both ends.
