Yamaha FZS, FZ16, Fazer get new colour options

After refreshing the R15 with new colours, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has turned its attention to the FZS, FZ16 and Fazer.

The FZS has been given three new colours - Preying Red, Pouncing Black and Hawk-eye Gold. All of these are dual tone colour schemes. The FZ16 is now available in Panther Black, Ambush Blue and Raider Red - all of which are single solid colours. The Fazer has been given three new dual tone colour combinations as well - Ravine Red, Wilderness Black and Terrain White.

Mechanically, all the bikes are unchanged. All of them use Yamaha's 153 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 14 PS @ 7500 rpm and 13.6 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm. The 5-speed transmission has been carried over as well.

Re: Yamaha FZS, FZ16, Fazer get new colour options

One more color change .

My hairs are getting white with each passing day, waiting for the day when they will launch a 250 cc bike in India and get rid of these color change refreshes on existing range.

Did they jacked up prices too for these new colors?

Re: Yamaha FZS, FZ16, Fazer get new colour options

I am tired of hearing about these manufacturers launching new colour patterns, paints.

Yamaha should have launched a newer 250cc Fazer instead. Also the Indian market has evolved a lot and everybody no longer wants only economical or commuter bikes.

Re: Yamaha FZS, FZ16, Fazer get new colour options

Though it is only a colour update, fazer looks totally cool compared to the recently launched Trigger or any other 150cc for that matter. Yes 250cc Fazer would have been a revelation and can truly be a game changer. But as of now Yamaha is totally concentrating on the volume segment a.k.a Scooters and i will say it indeed succeeded, Ray and Alpha looks really stunning compared to its counterparts and given Yamaha's reliability i dare yamaha wont fail. Suzuki is gearing up its 150cc Gixxer which will be a true competitor for FZ, so i wonder updated FZ's and Fazer's will be launched no less than Q1 2015.
