Re: The 2014 Motorcycle purchase dilemma (200-400cc)

Depends on what you need the bike for.

For touring - Ninja 300 and then the CBR250R

For the city - CBR250R, the Yamaha specs all seem good, but from what I have heard the handling and suspension setup is poor. The R15 itself is years behind the Dukes and the Ninja on comfort and handling.

Duke 390 - If you like high speed touring and are willing to invest in a good touring screen. A worthy alternative to the Ninja 300.

CS400 - seems like a Duke 390 but a bit more relaxed posture, should be good if you can live with the Pulsar label.

TVS-BMW G310 - Definitely needs a mention and a look when it arrives.

Rest are not worth the time, considering service options and spares availability.

CBR250 unless you like to necessarily split every lane you come across. Its a joy of a bike and feels built to last (except minor exhaust end rusting issue in my bike)

But at 15-20 kph, its not the most easy to flick bike, which would be the dukes I guess.
