:thumbs up Eagerly waiting to see your baby! Just booked by Classic 350 today..I must come over and see you soon...You've given me ideas! :)

Nice looking machine that bro! Glued to this thread for further updates!

I'm also in Chennai, do you mind sharing the details of the place (garage?) where the project is on?

@krcustoms.. Wow.. Looks amazing. Good work. Nice to see people try different things like bobbers. I'm a huge fan of Shinya Kimura as well. Eagerly awaiting the end product. Cheers!

Whoa it looks killer!Very well executed.A combination of a shade of dark grey and black would look very cool.Or something like gun metal grey with a rusted paintjob(I've seen it done on a Harley 48 bobber while i was abroad). When will it be completed?

More pics and details please:D

Is that a custom handlebar? If yes, how did you make it? Did you use a pipe-bending machine?

Shinya is my hero, really. awesome designer. couldn't do the goose neck frame this time. it was way to complicated but next time for sure!! have lot more confidence now to get into some serious design. if you have a donor bike let me know, would be happy to work on a joint project.

Hi! How's it going? Is your baby nearing completion yet. Really, really looking forward to seeing it in action. Hope you're having no major glitches along the way.

I'd upgraded my booking from the CL350 to the TB500. I hope to ride down to Chennai someday and meet up with you. Ciao and good luck!

Rideon, yes the build is near completion. just some last minute glitches like the exhaust is a bit too loud for my taste (need to put more baffle), the forward controls are not as smooth as i would want them to be so changing the heim joins to a new bass ones and see the performance. hopefully can start breaking it down for chrome, powder coat within a week. lets see.

Good choice. No point in being overly loud.

I think if you stuff it with glass wool that would help.

What kind of exhaust are you installing?Paint scheme?

If you don't want to divulge details,I understand:)

BOV, exhaust is custom one. Kinda inspired by typical bobber shorty. Not sure where I could get glass wool from? i was planning to use custom made baffle, its a small cylindrical shaped pipe that has holes and is closed from one end. once I make it I will upload some pics.

Color paint is the tough one. To be honest I haven't really figured out the exact combo. soon though :)

I don't know about the homes in India but glass wool is a common material used in many houses in the USA for insulation. It is also often used as the insulation in refrigerators, hot water heaters and ovens.
Its color may vary but its nature does not.

It is composed of millions of small glass fibers laid in random order into flexible bats. It can be cut with scissors or a razor sharp blade.

The fine glass particles can penetrate your skin causing discomfort. They can also be harmful to a persons eyes.

Glasswool should be available at any industrial hardware shop.I see that you are in Chennai.

Definitely it should be available. Why not head down to the nearest industrial area and search.

Care should be taken while stuffing it into the exhaust.

Oh I understand what the baffle you mean is.You just insert in to the exhaust from the end right?

Thermal wrap for the bend pipe?:D

All the best man. Can't wait to see her done.

Awesome stuff! Looks so much better than so many RE-based bobs & chops from supposedly pro shops, honest! And Shinya is as good a guy as any to look up to, love his work! I want to do some stuff to my Bullet 500 too down the road - minor tweaks here & there, not as "all-out" as yours. Will be keeping an eye on your progress. Best of luck!

thanks grplr02. yes besides making it look good i am paying lot of attention to the ride quality. no point in building a mean looking bike that rides like a brick!! :)

you can do small things and make a huge impact to the look of the bike.

do post some pics once you mod your bike.

some new pics, been playing with some brass work.
