GetMyPeon, an errand-running service provider, is offering a new service in Mumbai, in which, a customer can have his motorcycle or scooter picked up and dropped off for servicing.

The pick-up address can be a home or office or any street in Mumbai and the drop-off point can be a service center of the customer's choice. As far as the specifics of the servicing goes, the details can be mentioned in an email, which will be conveyed to the service centre or the mechanic.

GetMyPeon is charging Rs. 250 for a one-way pick-up and drop-off. If the client wishes to avail the return service as well, the charge is Rs. 400. This service is offered on every motorcycle or scooter that is being manufactured in India.

This service is expected to be helpful for those who find it difficult to take time off from their busy schedules for taking their vehicles for servicing and repairs.

It is a nice concept for one of cases where you would like to have extra manpower at your hand ...

Hopefully the one who rides it back & forth don't get "excited", otherwise, its a welcome move for people who stay very far off (and Getmypeon don't charge extra for it)

Cool offering. I'm guessing that bike service stations don't offer pickup / drop-off services as commonly as car garages do.

Pricing is on the higher side though. Half the auto workshops I know offer free pickup / drop-off. The ones that charge (e.g. Solitaire Honda) have billed me between 150 - 200 bucks. Still, if it saves you a day off work, well worth it.

The biggest challenge for getmypeon will be quality of riders, and assuring owners that their bikes will be carefully ridden.
