Honda Activa 3G spied ahead of launch. EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 48,852

An updated version of the Honda Activa 110 cc scooter has been spied. Dubbed Activa 3G (3rd Generation), the scooter features mild cosmetic and mechanical changes.

The Activa 3G (codenamed ON2Y) gets a 3D Activa badge and a 3G badge on its side panel. The scooter is expected to continue with the same 110 cc, single-cylinder engine as the current Activa 110. However, it could be tuned to develop more power and torque. It is likely to feature Honda Eco Technology (HET) as well and is expected to return better fuel economy.

Honda is likely to launch the Activa 3D on February 4, 2015.

Is it a low cost version. with Activa badge? Front suspension rolled back to the 1st gen unlike the telescopic suspension in Activa 125.

It's disgusting to see Honda shying away from giving telescopic front shocks to their highest selling product. Honda just seems to be taking advantage of the brand value which Activa commands.

Being one of the expensive scooters in our country, Honda must be making a huge profit at the expense of it's customers comfort.

Honda has launched the Activa 3G scooter in India at a price of Rs. 48,852 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
