Going by the images, the new motorcycle appears to have a simple and straightforward design. While not much is known about the bike, the media is speculating that it could be either a new version of the CB Shine or a facelifted version of the Dream Yuga or Neo. The bike has a bikini fairing, a scooped fuel tank, full chain cover, black exhaust pipe, clear lens turn indicators and a long contoured seat. The motorcycle rides on alloy wheels and has a fork suspension at the front and dual shocks at the rear.

The bike is rumoured to be powered by the same 124.7 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is found on the Shine. Stopping power comes from drum brakes all round.

Honda is trying to narrow the gap to Hero Moto Corp, the market leader in two-wheelers in India, with a number of new products and updates. This bike is likely to be one of them. Rumours suggest that it will be launched in the third quarter of 2015.

Certainly looks better than the relaunched 125 cc Bajaj Discover.

Even the colour looks top notch and for a commuter, looks pretty well stitched.
May fight for the lion's share with its bigger sibling- Shine.

Livo seems to be a up market version of the Dream Yuga which is a upmarket version of the Dream Neo. Front disc brake is the only major addition. This 110cc engine is a gem of a workhorse, developed specifically to take on the aging 97cc engine widely used in Hero Splendors, Passions and CDs. When compared to the 97cc Hero Honda engine, I felt this HET 110cc engine to be lot smoother, quieter with better low end. I had a brief experience when I owned the Honda Dream Neo 110 HET for around 6 months and 7000+kms before selling it cause of personal reasons. This engine is strictly for relaxed slow city commuting, I used to accelerate and ride sedately and maintain 50kmph in open roads and consistently got close to 70kmpl in city. Speeds more than 55kmph will make the engine stressed and hard working but vibe free. This same engine is now also used in Hero Passion XPro.

Re: Honda Livo commuter motorcycle spied EDIT: Now launched at Rs. 52,989

Looks like a scaled down and neater looking Unicorn 160 from the side and the erstwhile and now extinct Twister from the front.
A flush fuel tank cap would look better on this mildly edgy looking bike.

This is primarily aimed to compete with the Passion XPro and replace the slow selling Twister as both are in the upper end of the 100 cc price range spectrum. It looks good. Hopefully it should sell really well and pip the former which is highly identical to the old Passion Pro.

While there are plenty in the commuter Dream series range IMO they should have used this design as an updated Shine instead of just changing the rear tail lamp on the new Shine. But maybe Honda didn't want to change the conservative styling of the Shine.
