Royal Enfield to increase its monthly production capacity from 37,500 to 52,000 units

In an attempt to reduce the long waiting periods on its motorcycles, Royal Enfield will be bumping up its monthly production capacity to 52,000 units.

Currently, the company is only capable of producing 37,500 units each month or 4,50,000 units annually. This year however, the production will remain the same. The additional facility will only be ready by December this year. The company has also purchased land for a third plant in Chennai, at an investment of Rs. 70 crore.

Re: Royal Enfield to increase its monthly production capacity from 37,500 to 52,000 units

With more and more manufacturers stepping into the market, Royal Enfield cannot afford to keep its customers waiting. A delivery period of nine months is simply too long. The company has also disclosed its plans to launch new models with new engines. These will also need additional production capacity.
