HOW TO GET GOOD FUEL EFF FROM UR pulsar 180 Dtsi
1) Kick start bike every morning with slight choke and idle around 2 min at 3k to 5 k rpm.
2) Drive less then 45 km/hr for first one - two km each day : Less than 50 km/hr for first 5000km
3) Minimum use of clutch.
4) Drive in high gears and low rpm
5) Dont over accelerate !
6) Use SPEED+ 2ml Iftex per litre of Fuel
7) A single user is prefferred !
8) For first 5000 km use the bike on good roads with less traffic.

WELL DO THIS only for first 5000 km and then see the bikes performance after that !!

Problem in pulsar

Hi Friends,

I have a Pulsar 180 DTSI (16.5 BHP),I have 2 question question regarding my problem.First recently I checked my engine oil level, it is low but enough for thr ride but after 30min I felt very adnormal burning smell from engine but even after when I was coming back to home I did not felt any acceleration or any engine problem , then what could be the issue?also it crossed 1700 km in same engine oil I soon I will chage it but I more concerned about the engine plz tell is it any symptom of engine damage.

Second I want the Xeneon or any other alternate for powerful light probably without changing whole wiring , is there any way out. Also with K& N filter which Jetter size is good for max power.

Hay Thunder ,

I just replied to your other thread.
Well simple test is to check if the bike emmits smoke .. There should be no smoke from the exaust. In case you have a engine problem the Spark Plug will be black -- check that as if oil is being pulled up to the engine it will burn and blacken the plug apart from that the gears will be hard but the engine will be smooth for the first few KM before it overheats. If every thing else is fine get the bike checked by a good mechanic and tell him to check the Valve setting -- company service guys tighten them too much to make it sound smooth also check the timing.

It can be as small as a spark plug gone bad tryu changing it ..

Tyres for pulsar dtsi???

hey guys
just a small query
has anyone heard about the pulsar tyres by a company called ralco
i heard that they are almost as good as michelin or pirrili.
i mean by the price they quote roughly half of that of michelin.

p.s. i have the old pulsar with 18inch wheel
