Your move, Honda. Time to sell a scooter which is not an Activa.

Re: Vespa launches 150cc scooters - SXL & VXL

The PCX150 shown above costs US $3500, so even if it comes to India at exact same price, still it will be Rs.2.25 lakh. How many people will buy a 150cc scooter at 2.25L?

Anyways this thread is not about Honda, it is about Vespa 150 siblings. I think this is a nice move. Though the price seems higher, Vespa has always commended a premium and being able to upgrade to a higher powered engine at additional cost is a very nice option to have. Hope Suzuki/Honda wake up and add some 150cc to existing portfolio, keeping the costs competitive.

Thanks for the price-check, but my point was hardly that Honda must launch the PCX150 in India. That is why I did not even bother mentioning the name of the model.

I was trying to make the same point as what you did, that it is high time that Japanese OEMs (especially Honda which sells more scooters than everyone else combined, in India) brought in something new, and different. They have the capability, the models, designs - they just need the will.

Hi Waspune, it is possible according to my showroom in Bangalore. The size they mentioned is 120-70/10 and that can be fitted both at the showroom as well as at other Tyre dealers. My bike, bought recently, is running on maxxis and definitely there is a good grip to it. I guess you should just contact the service center/showroom. Hope this is helpful.

Cheers

Thanks sumzup. I had also contacted the Vespa showroom in Pune and they said that the rim also would have to be changed which sounded ridiculous.
