Hero MotoCorp has launched an updated version of the Splendor Pro motorcycle in India at a price of Rs. 46,850 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The bike gets a revised windshield visor, clear lens indicators, a restyled fuel tank, new body graphics and a tri-set instrument cluster with side stand indicator. Other features include a chrome-plated utility box and muffler cover, body-coloured mirrors, wider seat and broad grab rail.
The Splendor Pro is powered by a 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke petrol engine that delivers 8.2 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque @ 5,000 rpm. The bike has a four speed gear-box, telescopic fork front suspension, adjustable rear suspension and 18-inch wheels.
The bike is available in eight colours – Black Purple, Heavy Grey, Cloud Silver, Candy Blazing Red, Palace Maroon, Black Monotone, Shield Gold and Black Red. The last two shades are new additions.
The Splendor Pro is available in four variants and comes with a 5 year warranty.
Hero has also introduced a variant of the Splendor+ with a 'self-start' feature. The Splendor iSmart now available in two brand new colors – Black Boon Silver and Black Sports Red – in addition to the existing colours of Sports Red, Leaf Green, Excellent Blue and Heavy Grey.
The company has also announced that the Splendor has also crossed the 25 million (2.5 crore) units mark in cumulative sales since its launch in 1994. Currently the Splendor family has a range of five variants - the Splendor Pro, Splendor+, Splendor iSmart, Splendor Pro Classic and Super Splendor.
