This might be a case of HSRP or high security registration plates. The RTO issues and fixes these number plates with a breakoff head rivets which cannot be taken out easily. In these areas, stickering is illegal.

Precisely the reason.

The holder has already started rusting.
The number plate holder has been fixed on the lowest possible location on the body. However, the number plate (with the plastic holder) rests on the body if the holes are drilled along horizontal center of the plate?? If the holder is moved higher the Nacelle touches it when turning Will probably need to take an Activa's front number plate holder and make an extension.
Can not fit it w/o a holder as the number plates are fragile (10 year old kids effortless tore off the front number plate off the activa 125).

Congrats! The reviews on the net are definitely on the positive side. Hope you'll release an ownership review.

Naturally, it's not OK. They are doing some fraud I believe. Please do check back and get a complete break up.

Nope. That is the ex showroom cost of the vehicle. The rest is for Insurance, RTO and road tax.

Re: Aprilia SR 150 unveiled at the Auto Expo. EDIT: Priced at Rs. 65,000

Took delivery of my SR150 two days ago.

What can I say, the 36km ride from the showroom to my home had a wide smile plastered on my face.

Tanked up this morning, and some fuel dripped out from underneath just as the auto cutoff was triggered by the fuel dispenser. Overflow pipe at work, perhaps?

Congrats. And yes it is the overflow, the manual clearly states not to fill till the brim.

I always fill approx, tankfull/auto cut never works for this. Each section of the fuel gauge is approx 2 litres.

No. SR 150 used 5w40 engine oil. 700 ml required. PVPL uses eni brand (Italian) oil.

Bangalore Dealers.

Question to owners in Bangalore - is there any feedback who is a better dealer - from service point of view ?

As far as I know the following are the dealers
  1. Square Auto, 119 Farah Icon, Lalbagh Road, Benguluru
  2. Sunil Mehta Marketing, Dr. Rajkumar Road,# 40/1 (1015),# 40/1 (1015),1st Main 4th Block , Rajajinagar
  3. Falcon Mobikes, No.187 ,100ft Ring Road,Hosakerehalli Cross,Banashankari 3rd Stage
  4. Navin Associates, No 4/4 ,Chikkalakshmaiah Layout,Opp Christ University,Hosur Main Road
Any suggestion/opinion shall be highly appreciated

Had visited one of them and was not really impressed by their "customer attitude" itself

Best Regards & Ride/Drive Safe

Re: Aprilia SR 150 unveiled at the Auto Expo. EDIT: Priced at Rs. 65,000

Hi, might not be the right topic to discuss here.

I got my SR150 delivered on Dec 21st.
I am facing a strange issue. When I tank it up, fuel spills out near center stand.
Now when shared this with the service guy, they say never tank it up.
What happens is fuel spills out through breather pipe of tank. So technically its a design flaw.
As fuel into hot engine is a disaster ready to happen. It can occur with anyone.

I dont know now whether to keep the bike or sell it off and get something better.

^^ Similar to the Benelli 600i. Wonder how these blunders go unnoticed by the design team

I always get a tankful(probably 10 till date). The spill happened only once - When the chap was manually filling, trying to fill it to the brim. I did have my heart in my mouth looking at the huge pool of fuel under the vehicle. Please check post #248(Row #7).

Now then, the tank has a long neck below the cap and the breather pipe is located closer to the cap. Normally, I get it filled till the bottom of the neck. The back-splash disengages the fuel filler as long as the filler pipe is dunked into the fuel pipe. The tank will not overflow if you only fill the tank, and not the neck.

Or, maybe, I've just been plain-lucky.

Since the last few days when the ignition is turned on to the right most position, the tail light glows even though the light switch is off. Pressing the brake lever has no effect on the light intensity, it just stays on. Feeling apprehensive during braking because of this. Due the Pongal holidays the service center is closed. Have to visit in coming weekend.

Also the pilot lamp has conked off last month. All this in under 3 months of ownership. That's too many electrical complaints. My 6 years old Wego has had a single electrical replacement so far apart from the battery last month.
